Hi! I have -128mA b1s1(upstream o2 sensor) and 10 kpa intake manifold absolute pressure, and it´s stuck at these values. Anyone have any idea of what is at fault?

What if the OBD2 hook up for the car does not show air fuel ratio (like when hook up for a Japanese car) but shows MAF value. The old car only has one O2 sensor located just after the exhaust manifold and well before the cat convertor. The car is 1.8 liter x 750rpm/2/60 x corrected air density at 7.35psi & 100F = 5.7g/seconds. Since the intake valve closes off only at about 60 degree after BDC, of suction stroke, the dynamic suction stroke taking 4.7g/second of air appear to be very accurate. At 2000rpm & 49mph the MAF is 18g/second at -1.5 to -3 psi vs 23g/second by calculation. No idea in Egr % opening as OBD2 could not show this. O2 sensor reads at about 0.75v. I like to learn more.

Wow, this is good video. Wonder what is the Egr opening and it's dilution effect onto flame speed during combustion or power stroke. At CO2 of 7% this indicates fuel is not being properly burnt off. Maybe timing of ignition spark is not been sufficiently advance?. Like ignition spark initiated only after TBC of compression stroke instead of 20+% before TDC?.

On my Techstream as a Toyota mechanic, when connected to the ECU, I can command the fuel ratio lean or rich in fine increments. It's used for diagnostic purposes to see if when you command more or less fuel, do the A/F and O2 sensors respond correctly. Helps troubleshooting a lot.

Great video! Thanks!!!!! Not much shows on youtube how many milliamperes flow in the pumping circuit. What do you think is the normal deviation when the engine is running at partial load? My engine (vw golf 4 1.6 16V AZD) +- 0.15 mA varies at idle and partial load +- 0.23 mA. I think is too much.

Basically no experience here but was it slight lean due to a fuel delivery issue/manifold vacuum leak. Looks similar to the lean issue at 16 minutes

@@dynaway You can see your efficiency indicators are showing an internal combustion issue. CO2 is 5% below and 02 is 5% high, the root cause seems to be a lean condition. Lambda is 1.22 meaning lean and C02 & O2 are verifying that.

Hi thanks for your kind words. I was flying off my old family farm property. Rented the fields to a local farmer for beans and corn. I gave up the property, the plane and moved to town recently. After 25 years of aircraft ownership, I got sick of the bills and felt I wasn't getting enough joy to bear the costs. I'm missing it though. So, unfortunately I don't foresee making more videos.

Russell Krick sorry to hear that. After 9-11 I got laid off from my jet job and spent a couple of years instructing and doing pilot services work. I fell into teaching and have been doing that ever since. I told myself that I could do all the adventurous other things I wanted to for less than it cost to fly. That was years ago, but in recent months the old urge has come back strong. I want to fly, preferably an old taildragger. Anyway, good luck to you pal.

Russell, love the combination of traditional analog "6-pack" instruments with the (Garmin?) multi function GPS/NAV/COM on the right and what appears to be a JPI engine monitoring system on the left. Just the kind of panel I'd choose to put in such a capable personal aircraft! Keep up the videos...
