It's literally the Tails doesn't fight anymore and Amy got stronger. Amy is not (fodder) and (weak) and you won't be able to read all of this but if you read everything you will understand what is actually stronger As requested by :iconamesrose257:, she has asked me to do a theory on how strong Amy Rose is, in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Not going to lie, I was a bit lost coming into this theory, as I was certain I would probably be unable to acquire an exact number on Amy’s strength. That being said though, I began my research, searching through the series for visuals that show Amy using a feat of strength, and, may I just say, there really isn’t much showing how strong she is. I was able to find a few instances though, of Amy showing signs of strength, so we’ll use those as our starting point. The first thing to note, is Amy’s appearance in Sonic CD. While it’s not exactly a feat of strength, it does show Amy’s limitations in the classic era, and that’s the fact that Amy is strong enough to keep Sonic in place, since when she hugs Sonic you can’t move, to Amy being unable to break free from Metal Sonic’s grasp when she is being captured, thus inferring that she is weaker then Metal Sonic, but strong enough to keep Sonic in place. Even though this is not exactly a huge step in regards to Amy’s strength, it does give you an idea on how strong she is when she is starting out. The next instance, and the only real big one before Amy lacks showing strength for a good chunk of the series, is in Sonic Adventure, where at the end, she hits ZERO with her hammer, making the robot fly across the Egg Carrier’s front dock. Now, I don’t really have anything in depth to go on from this, as the game engine for the Adventure games, and the graphics, physics and such, ain’t precise enough to get accurate readings off of from a visual examination, however this feat in itself does show that Amy isn’t a weak character, especially in the early stages of her adventures. Now as I mentioned earlier, throughout the majority of the series, Amy does not show many feats of strength. That being said though, she did break in and out of prison in Sonic Adventure 2 and break in and out of an Eggman Fortress in Sonic 06, as well as showing that she can destroy an Eggman robot just as good as anyone else. So, while these aren’t direct evidences of strength, it is worth noting. It is debatable if the Riders series is canon or not, but regardless of opinions, she does so something in the game that is notable as well. There is a section in Zero Gravity where Storm is chasing after Amy because she has an Ark of the Cosmos. This happens for a while, before Amy decides to give him the item he wants, by throwing said item directly at his face, knocking him backwards before falling over. Once again, I wish I could go into details about how much force would be required, but it not something I studied or know exactly how to do. Based of rough guestimarions though, an Ark of the Cosmos would be rather heavy. Not extremely heavy, but maybe about a good 1-2KGs, or 2.3-4.6lbs. Now, imagine trying to throw something like that hard enough to basically knock someone out? It could be done, but based on the weight and distance Storm was away from Amy, she definitely needed to have some above average strength to pull off a feat like that. The last bit of strength she shows, and the most notable, happens in Sonic Generations, twice. Firstly, is the ‘taking the leap together’ mission. Sonic is teamed up with Amy, to finish a track using the help of Amy’s hammer, to propel Sonic into the air, by her hitting the ground behind him. Now, I wouldn’t blame you if you don’t take this point seriously, but she is literally creating a shockwave powerful enough to propel someone away from the point of impact. The last time I saw something like this, was in Sonic Boom, where Knuckles could punch the ground, and create a shockwave of his own along the ground. Definitely something to note when comparing strengths. Speaking of Knuckles, my last visual point comes from the final cutscene of Sonic Generations, where Amy hits Knuckles, and he rolls backwards, slamming his head against a tree, sort of knocking his out as he did. The biggest thing about this point, is that this is the only time she’s done a feat of strength, without her hammer. Noting what I said about Storm’s incident, Amy used enough strength to not only make Knuckles roll backwards, but the slam against the tree was enough to knock him out. In comparison, have a look at Sonic Forces. When the Avatar first introduces himself to the resistance, Knuckles causally smacks his/her shoulder, and visually you can see that just a casual slap from Knuckles, who is the muscle of Team Sonic is enough to knocked the avatar significantly forward. Now think back to Amy, who showed most likely more force then that to Knuckles, but that extra force was enough to do much more then what Knuckles did casually. Originally I was going to do a reasonable conclusion with the evidence provided, but I did have one more notable thing that I wanted to mention, and that’s Stats. In Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders Zero Gravity especially, each character is given individual stats, and one of those stats is Power. According to Riders, Amy is a three star Power, alongside Sonic, Jet, Wave, Shadow and Rouge, with her also having more power then Tails and Cream, but less then Knuckles, Storm and Eggman. While this is good in all, I believe the stats for Zero Gravity is much more accurate. According to that game, Amy is a 4 in power, alongside Sonic, Jet, Shadow and Blaze, with her being stronger than Tails, Wave, Cream, Rouge and Silver, but weaker then Knuckles, Storm and Eggman. This I believe sets up a good final visualisation on my stance on Amy’s strength, based on the evidence. Amy is pretty much the strongest female in the series, next to Blaze, because of her fire powers and such, with Rouge being a close third. Alongside this, she is stronger then Tails and Cream, and on par with Sonic and Shadow, when they are not in chaos forms, or speed is not an option. I do believe she is not as strong as the classified ‘Power’ characters, but Amy has proven time and time again that she is able to handle things by herself, or with a team. She may have started as a damsel in distress, but I strongly believe, and the evidence provided also points me to believe that Amy has gotten stronger, much stronger since those days. Not a beefcake, but she is not average in strength ether. You definitely don’t want to underestimate her, since that’ll be the last mistake, any villain makes.
