We endeavor to reach across the country sharing the powerful and time-honored gift of storytelling using vintage tales, tools of the 21st century and voices that reflect us all.
Born out of the Covid-19 epidemic, our project now collaborates with close to 160 performers from 21 states, Canada and the UK. We offer actors the arena to hone and maintain their craft; technicians the opportunity to explore the capabilities of the latest technology in the service of our audience; novices the stage on which to share their voices with confidence; diversity to be realized through inclusion, regardless; and audiences the joy and nostalgia of entertainment that hearkens back to the golden days of radio.
Is there a MP3 download of this? Edit: I want to add this to fourble.co.uk/podcast/quietplease9. It is a podcast of all episodes including recreations. I can’t without an MP3 download link.
This is the only re-creation of this episode I'm aware of - thanks for doing this! My friend Matt Ellis and I do a podcast about Quiet Please called Quietly Yours. We just did an episode on this one but didn't know about this, or we would have mentioned it.
It was a fun one to do! The background singing were supplied by my daughter (here in Ohio) and her cousin from California-they have never met in person. The dialect pieces are challenging for some audiences, I believe, because they are not used to engaging as much of their listening skills and when you throw in dialects that aren’t as familiar-it’s a risky venture :)
