To Medicine and Beyond! My name is Nhi Nguyen. I am a first year medical student. Here to share with you all my journey before, during and after medical school. We all know it. Medicine is no easy ride. Struggling through this process myself, I want to be a refuge for anyone who is embarking on this journey with me, or will be going on this wild ride soon! Medicine is so much more than the clinical presentations. Medical school is so much more than the didactics. They are the true blend of human connection, nurture, curiosity, compassion, and drive. Through this channel, I hope to demonstrate these facets of medicine and connect it to world beyond!

Thank you so much for the mock interview! I feel so much better going into my interview. Had it not been for your services, I would have felt much more anxious about my upcoming medical school interview.
Please, don't underestimate the amount of time and effort that goes towards the secondaries. That is the best advice I can give as someone who spent alot of time creating a great primary, and underestimated the secondaries. You'll get a series of essays for each of the schools and have to fill out additional information for each school. It can be a lot, especially after doing the primary. Not to scare or stress anyone - Stay organized and on top. Thanks for sharing this video!
I just dont understand why they ask secondaries about stuff that is already in my primary app??????. Why are they asking me again why medicine??? That's what my PS was for which took me so dang long!!!!!

I am not familiar with that track, but I am assuming the goals of the essays are similar. There may be a specific focus on why you decided to apply for BsMD over the traditional track
Hello, I graduated from high school two years ago. I want to apply to study medicine abroad. In this case, I will receive letters of recommendation from the natural and life sciences teacher, the supervisor, and the high school principal. Is my choice somewhat successful? Your answer matters to me❤❤❤❤❤❤😊🎉
Are you applying to a medical school in the United States? If so, college level letters of recommendations are necessary. Each school will also have a different requirement. If you are applying to medical schools outside of the U.S, I am not familiar with the process.
Just wanted to say your med school miniseries and other videos have been super helpful for me despite me being a pre-dent. As a Vietnamese person your videos really struck a chord and gave me so much more confidence compared to a year ago. I am very thankful for the tips and it has resulted in me getting an offer of acceptance from my dream school at UW school of dentistry!

Applicants apply to their home state, but if they get accepted, they can choose to go to any of the regions that are part of the program. There would be no reason to apply to a different region because they can go to any of them.
I wasn't aware of that as being an option as each region has a limited number of spots. This was the statement from the UWSOM that I based my comment off of, "Applicants from each of the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) states will be considered for admission into their state’s cohort. For example, applicants with Idaho listed as their legal state of residence are automatically considered for the Idaho cohort and, if invited, will interview in Idaho for one of their seats. Applicants from out-of-region will be considered for the Seattle cohort." If you have more insight into this, it would be great for you to share! I will also reach out to a current MS4 at UWSOM to clarify on this. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Hi, I am wondering should I start up with individual letter or letter packet if all the authors are from the same school but I asked them individually??
If your school does not offer letter packets for medical school, I would treat them as individual letters, and upload them separately. You can check to see if your school offers letter packets by reaching out to your pre-med advisor. I believe most med schools prefer letter packets if your school offers them. However, I am not super familiar with letter packets so I would recommend talking to your school advisor and checking out the AAMC link I put in the description box for further guidance. I love the Kinsley earrings! I just wanted to say that I loved your last video and I found it to be very raw. I am an incoming MS1 and I have definitely seen the duality of medical school experiences shown on social media. This has made me think about how my own experience will be.
