One of the good things is that after the stun you can continue and put shujinko on meditation. Shujinko mains know how annoying it is to put shujinko on meditate. He gets hit so often.
Great stuff, man. I'm a similar rank, so it's nice to see not _super_ high-level Manon gameplay to actually learn stuff. That perfect at the end was a thing'a beauty.
Agreed, he’s almost like the no Kameo challenge cuz he doesn’t give armoured launcher or safe wake up or mix shenanigans. Just better combo conversions and the occasional unique copy tech
Here are some example combos to get an idea of what you may be able to get against each character with Shunjinko! As a general rule, dfK is a long reaching move that has better framedata than the original (and an alternative simple move can be done by holding up or down) and costs half kameo gauge, dbK is some sort of combo starter that costs the whole kameo gauge (and an alternate launcher can be done by holding up or down). And almost every copied move in the game can combo from bK or fK summon, even slow things like Noob's portal summon! So combos inbound!!!
FYI, the other change they made with stryker (the damage scaling one on his grenades). Is actually more a rework than a buff, the nerf part is that they increased the damage scaling on his first grenade hit (from 10% to 15%), but reduced the damage scaling on his second grenade hit (from 10% to 0%). This is a damage increase if you are doing kombos where both his grenades hit But it is a damage decrease if you do kombos where only thr first grenade hits (and the second either whiffs or gets scale skipped). Overall very happy with the stryker changes and very insightful video as always
Try changing up timings like doing f2 into the second bomb earlier, that way the opponent is left standing for a moment before being blown up by the first bomb and that moment gives the second bomb more time to go off
The only thing he really needs is more hit advantage off his pokes maybe +13 from +11. If he had that he wouldn't get mashed on and his pressure would be ridiculous. His buttons are great and in the neutral his specials cover a lot of ground
Very nice. FYI. You can get more rain/shujinko damage if you do these kombos instead. F21~BF1~D/C, B3~DDU, B3~F+K~U+K, J243~DB3 (394.41 damage from your mid starter) F32, J243, B3~F+K~U+K, 4 (HOLD), B2~DB3 (392.87 damage from your overhead)
Ive been using this team from the jump. Really good synergy being that noob can mostly carry his own damage pretty easy. Sub helps with some setups and the armor helps with the projectile spammers
Idk if it's because iv only been playing RAIN but I'm kinda struggling in ranked with Noob rn...... learning a new character is fun playing them in ranked is tough 😢
It's not as great as I thought it would be, I thought it would delete your opponent's kameo bar for a time but no it just disables both kameos until he stops punching
I'm honestly a little concerned about how Cyrax is going to be viable in upper ranks. Essentially she has a similar game plan as Takeda but only with half the damage and half the range. Is this going to work? People are saying she's top tier, but I'm not seeing it (Sektor and Noob both seem more impressive)..
Scrubby day 1 stuff but he was really fun! (I promise I actually convert into combos now lol, I just realised this is basically the only game where i've almost exclusively only played one character, so not using muscle memory was weird haha)
