Becuz of your stupid video....the rental cost of homes in my neighborhood soared from 1200-1800 in the last 3 yrs. How bout y'all shut up....New Yorkers took my rental??
I lived in winchester 7 years and the downtown walking mall has never been "hopping" unless there was an advertised event. Apple Blossom fest is a nasty carnival where redneck families exercise their right to abuse their spouse in public. Last year police chased a streaker on Rt 7? There are "community" facebook pages where residents covertly exchange info that helps them to break in to houses or sideswipe cars...police won't even fill out a report on those...both of which happened to me. Also on FB a man solicited a cheap prostitute and my next door neighbor responded!! Imagine how horrified my young daughter was when she read the post....and within a week the man was ON her porch! BTW....PORCH SITTING is a big deal here especially if you are a "working girl" or "drug dealer:. In the end I left because Kee Properties allows ANY number of occupants in single family homes...and if you want to go over zoning authority to complain to city manager...you are greeted by his secretary....the city sheriff! Fill out a report with sheriff and you will discover your issue is a civil matter and you must employ a lawyer or forget it. The infrastructure here can't handle the expanded population it takes to staff Rubbermaid, Amazon and the new Poultry plant need so...city sewer backed up into my tub, toilet and washing machine. If you come here.....good luck folks
Every country has good and bad, and I used to shite on the US before I moved away for over a decade and came back. My jobs abroad were dismal at best, but when I came back, due to my experience and education in my first year I earned a six-figure income and continue to do well. America is one of the few countries where people who are educated can consistently earn a really decent living if they are willing to move to where the high-paying jobs are. Some countries simply don't have a place "where the high-paying jobs are". At the very least, Stateside one can start from scratch with a great idea, focus, talent, skill and a bit of capital.
I am not a Citizen of the USA but mate, the sht you are saying is becoming a trend, mostly hidden by yt, but keep doing what you do. One thing you have over there though is the many ways to start you own gig. You got talent bro. I am South African. Please do not consider this a racial thing but I have loads of respect for black gentlemen and ladies in the USA. The level of integrity mate is rare, honesty likewise. Do not give up man. Make no mistake, if you look at LONDON (UK) you will find more people living in tents out on the street but they do not broadcast that. Think of 'Skidrow' and and you get the point, the west in general is not being transparent about these these. I don't have time for Donald, I am not into politics but I don't have much respect for presidents calling other countries 'sht-holes' and know I don't hate the US, I merely think they have some serious issues and there are great people being treated like crap by their fellow citizens
@@grovedwayne390 HOA fees can be a pain NGL. But wait til you see what the fees are in Alexandria and Arlington 😂 $700/mo condo/HOA fees are normal. Here, between $100 - 250 but that's typically with big houses. We also have a bunch of no HOA neighborhoods
What about Fredericksburg? While it’s on the edge of the DMV, you still have the express lanes to get you into DC. Shopping is abundant and the downtown area is steep in the country’s rich history, surviving both the Revolution and Civil War. Housing is a bit high here but that’s to be expected with the proximity to NoVA and DC.
I live in Greenville nc and I'm from Baltimore I hate it here its no money and its slow with no opportunity I wanna move to Virginia because i don't wanna move back home because of the violence can anybody tell me a good place to move
I grew up in Leesburg and lived in Ashburn for 25 years. Finally left the area 2 years ago after being there 58 years. Leesburg isn't the same old Leesburg, But it's still a cute town. But way too big now. Your video was a little too heavy on the NOVA side. Richmond is another great area.
All wrong this guy never live inNorthen Virginia THE best city in North VA is MCLean only the rich can afford and next ARLINGTON and thenVIENNA Pricesin this neighborhoods can tell you the reason because are THE BEST
Leesburg. We lived 3 different places around town. The last one was across from the Tally Ho theater downtown. I've lived all over the country, but Leesburg is what i consider home.
It's amazing how much Winchester has changed from my perspective of having lived there in the mid 1980s. I lived on Shawnee Drive in what was then some brand new town houses. I worked right next door at a company called Baker Instruments Corporation. One thing I remember best about Winchester is the people and how welcoming they were to a Pennsylvanian relocating to Winchester. One of those friends lived next door to me and was the owner of a local business, Cooper's Jewelers. One place I loved to go was a British Pub way downtown called Coalie Harry's. They had the best burgers around. Another great place was the Cork Street Tavern. I remember they served mozzarella sticks with a fantastic strawberry sauce. Another thing to know is that Winchester has the nation's only privately endowed, public high school; Handley High School sits on a beautiful campus along route 11/Valley Ave. Finally, you need to know about the awesome Apple Blossom Festival. One place that I'm pretty sure is gone was called 220 Seafood. It was on Berryville Pike. Loved the atmosphere and of course the yummy seafood! I really need to make a road trip back for a visit soon!
Great info, appreciate the upload! We are moving here in Jan. You're right.. it's definitely not like I remember it being back maybe 15 years ago when I was partying hard with friends at the Apple Blossom festival 😆 Things certainly have changed. I see a lot of folks from Fairfax and Leesburg area coming here, definitely going to be a wealthier area in a couple years as tech folks decide they've had enough of the city life.
I've been thinking about moving, I was thinking about Virginia, I'm a nurse, there's no way at all I can afford it, I've seen some other towns that's easier on the purse, but a lot of them were ridiculously dangerous, I'm trying to get out of that environment, times are definitely changing, my town I live in used to be a small country town, very pleasant, it's almost unrecognizable today, and I'm ready to leave it, and I've been researching different states, and the cost of living in most of them, a regular person like me, I'm getting worried 😢😔
jumping over the iPad got me bent😂all my siblings have kids so I baby sit here and there and those mfs always be jumping around while watching something
