I'm glad all of these seniors stayed and stuck with the program, I'm glad Zach Edey came back for his senior year and it was the wisest move for him, not just to play sports but also earning his degree in what he majored in.
There will never be another college player, let alone Boilermaker, like him. I hope his success in college translates to the NBA. I was one of the few who commented on his HS youtube workout video saying I liked what I saw back then…his ball screen defense is the only area of concern for me at the next level. He’s just so big to stay with more explosive athletes on the pick & roll.
What a great story. I’m a lifetime Texas fan but I love to hear stories of just good guys. Then I’ll follow them and root for him to. I think he is heading for a successful career.
Zero ego! I love that kid! I love that team! Zach was in the perfect hands with Coach Painter. I love the Purdue culture! It was the perfect place for Zach to develop into the amazing young man and ultra talented player. Go Boilers!

As a Grizz fan, i hope he keeps that chip on his shoulder. He is joining a hard working group, especially Desmond Bane. And they have a lot of joy for each other. He doesnt need to worry too much about scoring, just boards, passes, screens, and flush some lobs. As a Grizz fan i love the fit, and hope he turns into another headache center for opponents, like Marc Gasol, Valanciunas, Steven Adams. Welcome to Memphis!!

As a long time UK fan and alum, I want to congratulate Zach on his 1st round draft selection , his Purdue coaches, and the entire Purdue team for your success! The Purdue mens basketball “machine” has been the class of the NCAA for last few years. Well done, and well deserved.
