I am not a fan of hate speech laws. They chill freedom of expression. Too much room for synthetic offence. Better to introduce sensitivity and civility subjects in schools. Using terms of endearment like "mon nwar" will be fraught with danger, in case someone takes advantage of the new law and takes offence.
