Oddly enough after filming this I walked out to check the tires on one of my toy haulers and found both right side tires low and the valve stems broke off in my hands when airing them up. Thanks to the Colby stems I was up and ready in 5 minutes rather than taking both tires off and hauling them the 30 miles into town to get fixed. I am a BELIEVER!

this vid was biased as hell😒 Those prerunners are VERY formidable. especially if it had A/T's like the 4x4 did instead of all seasons. and you kept doing stuff AFTER the fact of getting stuck. and purposely driving the 2wd exactly how you're NOT supposed to in order to get it stuck. it could of done EVERYTHING the 4x4 did in this video. had it had the same tires and the locker activated before the fact. I have an 07 2wd 4runner. and that could do everything the 4x4 Tacoma did in this video. without getting stuck. and I don't have a locker either.

This video is bias. The 4x4 has better tires and you turned on lockers. The 4x2 was also disadvantaged with the steering wheel being turned. you clearly had a favoritism towards the 4x4. next time you need to have both trucks identical especially tires minus 4x4 open diff and 2wd locker. The driving should be the same too. both need to have the wheels straight or none. both test subjects need to be the same minus what you are doing comparison on

I'd pay more for a Surfire headlamp. I'm a climber and mountaineer. I have a ton of headlamps and a lot of them are good. I really like BlackDiamond as well but there is just nothing that I have tried that is as good as the Surefire headlamp. I have the first version and still use it daily. I'm buying this one soon. All my other headlamps have stopped working over the years, my Surefire is old and it still working great today. I just want the brighter version. It is WAY more expensive and heavier, but it cna be counted on. I've used it to setbelay's in the dark, repel in the dark you name it. I actually carry 2 headlamps and a hand held light. In case I drop one. My spare is a Black Diamond. Maybe when I get anew surefire I'll use the old one as my backup.

Not sure what we have. The 10s would be easier to use as a step but the 20s would give you a bit more clearance.

still surprised this hasn't been adopted on more big trucks. I live in a city where it seems like every other person drives a big pickup, and I still get a good laugh whenever I'm in a parking lot and see one doing a 6 point turn just to get into a parking space.

The reason they are so capable is that they're based on the old pathfinder platform from the late 80's to mid 90's. I love my supercharged 02 X. The gas mileage really isn't that bad either as long as it is tuned up and running well.

Get a 4th gen explorer with the 3 valve 4.6 and the 6r60/80 transmission. The 6r transmissions are a lot more reliable than the junk ass 5r55

It may be leaking from any of the connections. Those are high-pressure hoses. They can leak slightly and just stay on the hose.

I got my 98 explorer a year ago,it has 300000k on it.Any work done before I owned it is a mystery to me but I've already put a battery,alternator,upper & lower front controll arms,ball joints,belts,hoses,plugs,wires,valve cover gaskets,head gaskets,both intake gaskets,alternator, and now wheel bearings. I think the tyranny is on its way out and/or the transfer case.Going to have to replace the front diff and when I back down a steep hill and apply the breaks,I hear a nasty clunk.No idea what that is but you can guarantee it won't be a cheap fix.Only reason I bought it was that the body is in great condition,no rust.Oh ya,it ticks like a bastard.Otherwise no problem.lol

That's ridiculous why make a 2 wheel drive lifted to look like a 4 wheel drive and not just make it 4 wheel drive that's stupid. Wonder how many times people have been off road and wish they had bought a four-wheel drive instead lol.

@4x4TVTV

Tires make all the difference in winter. Car & Driver did a test a while back between an AWD SUV with all-season tires and a 2wd SUV with snow tires. 2wd with snow tires performed better in every situation.
