The hardest part is being labelled, selfish or not social …I do like my friends etc.. but I don’t want to go out all the time and drink I’d rather spend time painting and use that money to buy tubes of paint that I need. I have told people that I’m trying to organise myself for an exhibition and that it takes time and it’s quite an inward journey. yet people don’t really listen or understand unless they’re an artist themselves .. Unfortunately that is why I only have one or two friends at the most… people don’t get it … fortunately I’m happy with my solitude gives me time to think and paint thanks for your video🙏💕
I whole heartedly agree. The only enjoyable part is entering flow state and the final result. The anxiety, self doubt, willing yourself to start, willing yourself to finish and publishing are all major states of discomfort, at least for me. The only reason I continue is noticing the constant improvement and interested to see who far I can take it and how much value I can add to humanity. What a waste to be blessed by the Gods with the gift to create, and squander it because it was too painful to bear? It would be like someone being gifted with the ability to discover the cure to cancer but being unwilling to put in the years of hard work in research / medicine. Think of the millions you could prevent from pain and suffering? All from you being diligent, dedicated and disciplined enough to walk the path laid out for you.
Hola! I didn’t make it to the live but congrats for doing daily art for a year! Wow! Definitely this is a huge inspiration for not giving up and keep working in your dreams. This has been a complicated year for me and I made art to calm my mind, it was my therapy, but a few months ago I stopped enjoying it and practicing it, but one day I saw that you were doing live and I was impressed by your constant work, seeing your daily effort to make art and still share it live, is admirable! Thanks for the inspiration! Since then I’ve been painting more, and again many congratulations on this great goal! Un abrazo
if you're coming into SY from the same room on a different device, it helps to mute your main 1st, then mute your 2nd before switching back ... and even then quite often it wont work out well ... SY doesn't play friendly in small spaces, as we all heard, lol ... there is a "Hack" (if it can be called that? when coming in with a phone as 2nd device ... and I'll share it with ya ... just as soon as I remember, I'm in need of sleep brain not workin mode, lol) also, total side note here but do you follow Slew here on YT? He is running a competition you might be interested in? Self Portrait with Still Life Meatball throws awesome daggers ... made me lol New pic comin on well ... hope to be awake when you're live again sometime soon (this is yet another day, I don't like my chances, lol) Be well, take good care :)

You are honestly so impressive! Thank you for sharing these learnings and CONGRATS on the journey and the incredible accomplishments you've already got under your belt. Kudos to you. You're probably the most grounded artist I've "met" ever. And it's definitely paying off!!!
Beautiful painting and show of will and determination. Her likeness is well executed. The atmosphere is majestic. The composition is balanced and directs. Electric. 👏👏👏👏👏
Great. Sounds like another person with the fire & drive. I'm revamping my channel currently. Your insights lend me strength to pursue the journey I've chosen and to have faith that persistence pays off. Your subject matter is already engaging. Just found the channel. Now subbed. 🙏🏼💪🏼🤙🏼
yep mindset is everything when it comes to art, and being an artist can be selfish and also lonely, im not saying artists are the typical emo loner trying to create their masterpiece and are broke doing it, wearing rags and sleeping on a mattress on the floor😝 they can be of course, but its def hard to be a 'normal' creative person and try to keep up appearances of being a 'normal' interactive person in the world and do all of the things people expect in a life, when all you want to do is go draw something 😛 and you have a plan for your paintings and you def have the potential to be great, and age never matters when it comes to art and when someone is dedicated to creating🥰
