I fully understand and appreciate your sentiment there. There is no doubt that Scott's toxic, nasty, appalling behaviour these past many years has soured our enthusiasm for all things Dilbert related. However, I would just say, don't forget that the main showrunner of the Dilbert cartoon (the one who actually did all the hard work to make the show happen and go to air) was Larry Charles: former producer on Seinfeld, former showrunner of Mad About You, future showrunner of Curb Your Enthusiasm. You are free to ignore Scott Adams altogether and just consider the Dilbert cartoon as a component of the larger Larry Charles oeuvre.

Do you know where the next world cup is? Know that before saying the first line that ICC is not spreading cricket overseas. Cricket is now more popular in USA than ever before! Yesterday I was watching a game between Argentina and German women's team. Just because you don't actually watch cricket you are saying this. It's not like they are handing out trophies or anything so what's the issue?

If you are saying this is the first time mis management has been done at an ICC event then maybe you don't follow the sport mate. Else you would have known the infamous Australia vs South Africa world Cup semi final when apartheid was being lifted. There was no involvement of BCCI back then or was it? Honestly tell me ..is anything you say fact based. I dare this podcast person or anyone to have a one on one with me online and watch me how i tear into people with all this biased opinions.

@@ayusharyan3899 Ok, I'll bite. I'm a Bombay-born guy, living in Germany and as a side-gig, I coach cricket at the Freie Universität in Berlin. Let me tell you about the struggles in an associate country. The ICC is doing nothing for us. I tried to get nets built, so that the precious limited time on the only ground in Berlin isn't wasted for practice. Guess what the German board said? "Our financer, the ICC, doesn't want to invest in practice facilities. Only in playing facilities." That is such a short-sighted approach to cricket. The Board and the clubs all care only about the league, instead of trying to grow the grassroots game and making a more sustainable, inclusive cricket environment. Guess what the ICC supports? They care more about the number of registered players and clubs, instead of cooperating with the German Olympic Federation and getting the game into more mainstream areas such as schools and universities, outside the expat bubble. There is interest for cricket amongst non-Commonwealth expats. My university course is proof of that. As for the USA, the ICC support is due to the HUGE American market and the large immigrant population from the subcontinent and Caribbean. They've let the game suffer in the West Indies itself. More worthy places struggle to get support. The Champions Trophy used to be a tournament where the big teams would go to and play in an associate country to help raise the profile of the game. There used to be the Intercontinental Cup, to help associates play long-form cricket. The ODI Super League obliged the top countries to play against weaker ones to qualify for the World Cup. What happened next? The ICC cancelled it straight away, even though it meant that Pakistan, New Zealand and England played against the Netherlands. All this was funded by the ICC giving money to the associates. That amount has been drastically cut since now most of it goes to BCCI, ECB and CA. The three countries who DO NOT need it. Sport is a social good but the ICC, and by extension BCCI, ECB and CA only care about the money. All the ICC does is organise events and tries to see how many India matches it can get. Bluntly put, BCCI, and to a lesser extent ECB and CA, control the ICC. The rest of the full members tag along because they don't dare to upset the big boys and the associates are at the mercy of the full members.

Is India that behind? With all the money and time it still was poorly managed. Late schedules announcements, Ticket sales delayed, Tickets selling in black at 10x prices. Hardly any fans from countries other than India, Bangladesh. Poor outfields. Road pitches, India using pitch according to their strengths, fireworks only for India matches and so many more. It's more of a BCCI event rather than an ICC event.
