I 1978 when I heard and frantically taped all John peel show songs to play after work every day and at some point play in the bed factory I worked at some young guy shouted out that The Mekons were rubbish in which I replyed and lied to say i had shares in the band and there gonna make millions. Some thing I never have done because I have the memory of a pea and found out I am high frequency deaf.. But am so glad to learn Lou was in the Mekons and it now all adds up to some of the sounds in Pil rather than sounding like a second re hashed Pistols band... Wow The Mekons I can't believe it, John what a lovely Suprise keep on tweeting the sounds..
