We are shaped by those we meet and when we surround ourselves with the right people we grow, allowing us to make our corner of the world a better place.
The People We Meet was created by Dave O'Carroll.
aving worked for myself for the best part of 10 years, it has taken me until now to realise what I love most is working with people who are creating their own stories.
I love the pursuit and ambition involved in creating something new and in truth, I needed to find a way to introduce myself to a community of people who share my beliefs.
I want to work with people I admire to tell their story to the people who are important to them.
Remember all of it well. My Grandfather had his butchers shop in Frances St. Brought back a lot of happy memories. Happy days life was gard but good 👍 Many good people from Dominick St Parnell St. Caple St. Marys Abbey. Church St. All the way to Thomas St. To the libraries Good Auld Ireland. These good people must be spinning in their graves. The Way they Meaning this Rotten Goverment have Allowed Ireland to become. GET THEM.OUT LOUSEY LOT OF BLIGHTERS
He made my sons suit for his first Holy Communion ❤ me Granda was from Marrowbow Lane and me other grandfater was James street and his wife my Nana was Francis street 😢 god rest there beautiful souls .....
This is over romanticized. I grew up 1/4 mile away and while most of the people are very sound, there was serious poverty in the 70s and 80s. Oliver Bond Flats had some very tough clients, indeed….
more than just shame! the Catholic Church has more blood on its hands like history before it! How many people did the "Church" murder to get what they want? it's sick and barbaric!
Being born in Haringey to Irish parents from Cavan,my Granny was a Dub,so when we could as alot did we would spend school holidays as they say 'Back Home,as their was 7 of us,a few of us would stay the first week with my Mum in The Liberties & the rest would go straight to Cavan & we would go up a week later,,I loved the place,Granny lived in the old tenement flats,Guinness made them in Patrick St in I think was called the Coomb all though the 80s,,,never a dull moment, used to love walking through the shithole alley ways to a big market, some days it wasn't unusual to see afew fights in the streets, but the general feel was mind your own business & your fine, that was in the day,I was streetwise enough to stay in the flat at night 😂,Oh yeah plus when we got in the taxi at airport the driver said you must have the wrong address not even I go there 😂 I thought it was a great area myself.

I grew up on the dole for a while. I think ppl forget that the flats (projects where I'm from ) don't exist to be ur home forever. They're designed to help u while u get ur shit together. Not to just breed generations of ghetto ass kids. It's not supposed to be ur permanent home.
Gentrification is happening all around the south inner city. The worst part of it is the middle class are moving in and looking down on people who lived there all their lives
Not even gentrification is the worst issue. They will bombard the area with soulless apartment blocks and destroy the community within 15-20 years. 14 story block going up by Echlin St as I write.
I was born in a two up, two down at the back of what was once mchenreys coal yard, the area has changed massively since then, some good some bad. But change nonetheless.

Check out South America’s most celebrated chef, Francis Mallmann from Argentina. He uses Fingal’s hand made knives and I’ve heard him endorse them He actually appeared at Ballymaloe Litfest 2016
