Indigenous Outreach Projects (IOP) are a culturally diverse national collective sharing a common goal to connect with community, especially youth, engaging them through music and dance. Our projects have been running for over two decades in cities, regional and remote areas as a service provider. We continue to work with schools, health organisations, youth services, councils, shires, embassies, festivals and more.
Our IOP Team deliver the motto “no shame, be proud, respect” by encouraging a strong mind, body, spirit and culture. Our Projects have been tried and tested as we have successfully engaged communities across the country and world.

Much respect... she's much better than Raygun! Support the real Australian Hip-Hop culture!!!! Here's some more information for those who may not know... When breaking was announced as an Olympic sport for 2024 the AOC went to DanceSport Australia who in turn went to Raygun and her husband Samuel Free. Raygun and Samuel Free brought in AUSBreaking to help them organize the Olympic breaking qualification process. A $275,000 grant was given for them to oversee and to help them organize the Olympic qualification process through AUSBreaking. Raygun's husband, a physically challenged break-dancer as well, wanted to represent Australia in Paris but due to an alleged leg injury he became an Olympic team breaking team coach - Raygun's coach specifically. Raygun then became their focus of getting to Paris which would make for a storybook tale of PhD Dr Raygun going from academic to Olympian. Money was to be made from books, speaking engagements, honors-awards, TV appearances, movie on her life, and more. She would also become the face of female breaking in Australia all the while enhancing her academic and national celebrity profile - a living legend. They then rushed the "full of red tape" Olympic qualification process which kept many of Australia's best female breakers out of the event. Only 14 of the 16 female qualification spots were filled - all by friends of Raygun. Raygun subsequently defeated Holy Molly, someone she had defeated at least 3 times prior despite Holy Molly visibly being the better break-dancer (their previous battle videos are on YT), to qualify for Paris. Raygun had at least a year to come up with an Olympic routine but knowing she was outclassed her and her husband came up with that buffoonery that we saw in Paris. Raygun then doubled down in a post-Olympic public statement claiming that she worked really hard preparing for Paris and gave it her all. In the end their all of their behind the scenes manipulation of the qualifying process blew up in their faces. You reap what you sow... as the saying goes.
You're telling me that the #AOC chose a lesser dancer over INDIGENOUS dancer that can actually breakdance?! What could've been more of a showing of Australia actually being progressive than that. Plus they wouldn't have come out of it as an embarresment.
Was the dance club/program that she is in, reached out to at any point to be told/informed that breakdancing would be at the Olympics, and from that point by Ausbreaking did they offer any information to her on how to qualify/upskill? Genuinely asking?
Hollup. Wait a cotton pickin minute..... You mean to tell me... that there are ACTUAL B Girls IN AUSTRALIA and NOBODY in they right mind thought it would be PRUDENT to send an ACTUAL, LIVING, BREATHING, BREAKING B-Girl to cotton pickin Olympics? Crikey, mate.
1000× better then the Australian representative we got at the Olympics. I'd be embarrassed if I lived Down Under for not giving this actual talent a chance.
Im Australian. Embarrest was the first emotion, and even humour. But I feel sad now, very very sad. For professor ray gun and her hubby to push talent down. Teachers need to encourage talent and lift it up. The fact she's a teacher makes this a lot worse IMHO
This is still primitive looking but it's better than what they sent to the Olympics.. Maybe someone in Australia should start working on their skills and routines today to prepare for 2028..
It's not an event in 2028. Los Angeles already decided on the sports that will run a while back. They are adding squash, baseball, softball, flag football, lacrosse (sixes) and T20 cricket.
instead of this amazing talent we went with the "professor", a woman who is clearly a novice -but a "pseudo intellectual" who justifies her existence with big words instead of talent. i went to art school with a bunch of these types of rich girls- who have no talent other than the ability to sell their "work" with two dollar words. they got top marks.
Why Rachel was chosen is because her husband Samuel Free was on the Olympic committee. It's a bloody joke. She is a joke and made Aus the laughing stock
The government better fund more of these programs as well as support such talents to compete in comps, scar would have really made a statement her style is balanced 😊 keep inspiring others!
I know nothing about breakdancing yet it only took me one google search to see we actually have talented dancers who could have represented us. We sent the white woman to do the sprinkler…
Bureaucrats do not want to see indigenous Australians succeeding on merit. Given the choice between meritorious indigenous women, and mediocre white women, Karen wins every fucking time.
