Same as I saw the Deore groupset lol. Feww. Swapping a RS 160 Yari on it. Great bike , 500usd used , 2022, come on. I was riding on 60mm Rockshox Quadra its 1995. Its amazing now.. appreciating the geo lol
Beware of the teaser enrollment cost. It will go up substantially. I just came across their email that I had been "upgraded" for only an additional $10 with a total cost of nearly $160/yr. They didn't bother to ask if I agreed to the new subscription fee. GoPro, go ahead and keep it. You got me for this year but you are forever cancelled going forward. You are as bad as Adobe.
A bummer that you have to edit this footage on the phone. I'm confused, why does the info come from the Garmin app? Is that because you aren't using the Insta GPS module? If you use the Insta module instead of Garmin, can you use the desktop app from Insta to edit it?
You no get 100 off to purchase new camera i try to get this for one month and still not sort it gopro just told me thats i cant get it no as is in sale
I tried to do some overlays using the Garmin VIRB edit software that is still sort of available and it was so clunky that I did it once and never again. LOL Would be great for races if it was easy to do.
I'm confused why Garmin is needed to work with the Insta camera. What's the connection? Insta sells its own GPS module for this camera. Would that make it easier to do on a desktop?
I will be kicking around the day in Cowichan for sure. I may help with the flagging of the course and do some media stuff. Quite the race for your first one😂
Try to use a different kind of music next time, something more relaxed. Maybe jazz or blues? And lower the music sound a little so we can hear the riding better. I feel like Rock type of music is more for Red Bull Rampage type of riding.
You can use the camera without any subscription. Save to the SD card and put into your computer for edit/upload. Makes sense that uploading and saving to GoPro's site would cost something.
I like my camera but the Company BLOWS. I started my subscription at $24 and have been charged $53 for the 4 years without notification. Also you can upgrade your subscription but can't cancel. What a ripoff.
I believe there is two options. If you pay monthly it’s way more, but you can cancel. If you select the yearly plan for a better deal, you can’t cancel part way through the year. I think go pro has some work to do on customer service for sure.
Pretty cool Trevor, maybe you should bring your camera to Alberta when you come. We will go on the trails around Camrose with you. We will lend you one of our bikes.
can you describe the fit as compared to the smith forefront 2? i have the forefront 2 and it fits damn near perfect. but the mips liner tends to dig into the front of my forehead at times, and I think the lazer is likely better ventilated. thanks
+@Kirchenschlager I can’t compare the two as I haven’t used a smith helmet. I can tell you that after over a year of use,it is still in great shape. The liner is comfortable and durable. It’s been a great helmet
Good to see a video not made by a Camera Equipment Influencer who gets free stuff for excellent reviews I canceled my Go pro Sub after a poor experience. Here in Australia it take me several attempts over the space of 3-4 weeks to even get into an available chat. It then took another 5 weeks to get a call. My problem started when I bought a pass-thru door. I wanted to mount the Gopro on car windscreen and power via car USB. The pass thru door connection was dodgy and if you left the battery in camera the Go pro would randomly lock up, it also killed my Gopro battery outright. I later found that going back to to original door, removing battery altogether and connecting to USB works 90% more reliable. So one GoPro 10 that seizes up occasionally, one dead battery and one pass thru door that does not work and I did not need. Gopro wanted $149 to replace with a Gopro10 (that is 2 models back now), and $15 for postage from Singapore. The Influencers all seem to brag that they got their replacement free. As you noted the discounts are simply not worth it, sounds great until you add postage from Singapore. Works out that you can buy accessories within a couple of $ locally from a camera store.
Honest reviews are hard to find. I cancelled my subscription and have bought an Ace Pro. Really great camera. I just did a survey from insta 360. Took one minute and have a selfie stick and two extra batteries for free. Good first impression for sure.
Did you add any filters in post? i.e. motion blur? or is that all done in the camera? Weird stuff going on there which looks a bit like software induced motion blur, or perhaps the other way around - a localized "de-blur" around the bike IDK, but there's weird "banding'"
