The left was an amazing stunt adaptation, but the right is trying to be cowboy bebop… Jet breaking through walls like koolaid man Spike doing these stupid low framerate, shaky cam, stupid spin camera as well as apparently just being able to teleport… And Of course “Faye” just kind of being there…. It isn’t Bebop. Actual spike would have been smirking the whole damn fight, his hits would have caused actual reactions because he knows how to throw them, and he might have lit a cig. Definitely would have had a quip when they stopped firing Jet was always the cool and even one, so he probably would have either been priming the ship or clearing an escape route for Spike. Failing that he would be watching the target or moving to a better angle to give spike covering fire. All while complaining about Spike costing them so much in repairs to the casino. Faye would have spent the entire fight (being as this is early in the show supposedly) avoiding being captured by Spike and Jet while still trying to get a bounty of her own and basically just prioritizing in the moment whichever one seemed more likely to work in her favor.
I still haven't seen the live action remake Don't wanna demonize anybody who worked on the show, I'm sure it was a blast and a love letter to martial artists and filmmakers who love anime who got to work on the show. But man, the previs looks much better than the final
Damn the Stunts version is DOPE AF compared to the show version…. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥…..anybody know If John Cho did his own stunts for this show ??? If so that’s Effin incredible….he’s like 50 years old now we’ll almost….but dope video hahaha
