Revolutionary era party music? American pop before anyone realized Africa and the British Islands were giving birth to something new here? Playing with bass and drums will seem like cheating to me from now on. This is how you rock it.

Overtone flutes like this one are better with longer, thinner pipes, since it makes the higher partials less piercingly high

Love the sound of the bass singer, beautiful. The choir I sing in has this piece on its repertoire as well. This is a prayer needing a humble, modest approach, all singers should sound as one instrument. Not a piece to sing as individual voices but blend together. It should be sung much more legato, in long lines. My opinion, of course.

Hello doodeen, Thanks for the kind words. In answer to your first question, yes I do have CDs. You can find them on my website at www.danmckinnon.ca as well as at my performances. Regarding the tuning, for this song I use the DADGAD tuning. It's a wonderful song called "Every Man's Heart", written by Archie Fisher from Scotland and he very kindly gave me permission to record it on my fifth CD, 'Fields of Dreams and Glory'. Best wishes ~ Dan
