I thought you had to have a class B cdl airframe endorsement to drive one on those. I am a cargo van expediter with Panther premium Logistics right now and I'm trying to move into a straight truck I have a class B permit but I can't seem to get anyone to train me without going to school to get into a straight truck with a sleeper because Panther told me I had to have a class B in order to drive a straight truck with a sleeper. Any help would b greatly appreciated.
If the truck is plated for 26,000 it can have rear air bags I drive a non cdl 2022 m102 extended cab with 26ft box an a 6 foot attic an it has airbags in the rear an axle drop with leaf springs in the front. Indiana,Michigan, Illinois , Kentucky all will allow these trucks as non cdl
Yes! This truck has Air breaks. You’ll always know If a vehicle In the U.S has air breaks because you’ll see a yellow knob, like at 0:30 of this video at the bottom right; below the transmission. And No!; vehicles can have air breaks and be Non-CDL. CDL just means a higher weight. So this vehicle In the video can weigh up to 26,000lbs (pounds) meaning you don’t need a CDL but because of how heavy It can be It needs something more precise then hydraulics to keep It In place.

You and me both I've been in the security industry for the last 10 years. I took a break and went into Non-CDL OTR Trucking during COVID and since returning to security all I can think about is being on the road. I will say it is difficult to find a carrier that is willing to pay good for Non-CDL OTR work; let alone one that does Non-CDL OTR.
as long as you are under 26,001 pounds you do not need a cdl even if it does have cdl thats y you have to kno your laws and yes they do have boxtrucks/straight trucks with sleeper that weight under 26,001 pound just do your research b4 u talk down and be Negative
@@BenChutes-ry8sq if this truck has been derated to 26k pounds, no cdl is required. eLogs are required if the truck was made after 2001, and a dot physical card is required to operate any commercial vehicle with q gross weight rating of over 10k pounds.
