Really nice video, I too started with a K1000 ! so many did back in the day great camera! When I think of the idea one camera one lens I think of a prime not a super zoom like in this video. I'd enjoy hearing why a superzoom and not a prime?
Fabulous video, I love black and white, being brought up watching old films it just seems natural, I would love to know the lens you love to grab most.
I love how you were realistic with your creative juice and never repressed them despite the impatience to be a painter or an artist .You still found a medium that suits you .😊
One Camera - One Lens but what camera and what lens? You began shooting 35mm film but how are you doing your B&W photography now, if you please? Digital I think considering the print sizes you offer. I shoot predominantly the Nikon 35mm f/1.4. Harkens back to the days of my youth as a newspaper photographer when no lens had a 1.4 aperture. So today - 2024 - it's a Nikon D850, the 35mm mentioned earlier and the Nikon 105mm micro in a small shoulder bag. I enjoy B&W images also. Thanks for sharing. I like your gallery photos also.
For many years I used one camera and one lens then technology changed to digital and it became many cameras and many lenses it’s just my job to accommodate clients with new technology !
The West Coast of Ireland wow! Nice one Giles and Thank you for showing us around, and yes I have been saying it for years One Camera and One Lens.......
I'm lucky enough to own 3 of Giles' photos, truly beautiful. My parents and I went into your shop when we were in Ireland. The camera (nothing fancy) I had at the time, I could switch to black and white. So when we went to the Cliffs of Moher, inspired by Giles, I took a few pictures in black and white, and they were really pretty. For my Dad's 70th birthday, I ordered a photo of the Cliffs of Moher. It was the one place on our trip he really wanted to go to. Catherine was nice enough to help me with the order online and had Giles sign it as well.
I used my Pentax daily for about a decade. It was my aunts and she let me have it. It started my journey into photography. It is a camera and those lenses that I would NEVER sell.
