Born and raised in Toronto Canada, ON. An experienced wedding dj that has an overall love for everything related to music. I have a strong interest and passion for new and vintage audio equipment
I also enjoy documenting/cataloging rare and hard to find vinyl and music.
Love the minimus 7 speakers and own a few. Great little speakers. Interesting repair, but that woofer is not installed properly. Looks like it needed the opening widened a bit to get a flush fit...which is VERY important.
@@stonefree1911 you are correct. The magnet is bigger for sure and not sitting tight as I would like it. I might end up putting some foam tape on the underside of the woofer mounting plate so that it's snug.
Founding group members Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael formed the group after performing in an early incarnation called The Jackson Brothers, which originally consisted of a trio of the three older brothers. In 1975, the youngest brother Randy Jackson replaced Jermaine when the brothers signed with Epic Records and Jermaine stayed with Motown Records. In 1983, Jermaine returned to the group, but by 1989, Marlon and Michael had already left to focus on their solo careers. Overall, 18 of the group's singles rose within the US Billboard Top 20, with four of them reaching number one.
RIP Toriano Adaryll "Tito" Jackson (October 15, 1953 - September 15, 2024) was an American musician. He was an original member of the Jackson 5 (later known as the Jacksons), who rose to fame in the late 1960s and 1970s with the Motown label, and later had continued success with the group on the Epic label in the late 1970s and 1980s. Tito began a solo career in 2003 performing as a blues musician. Throughout his career, he was nominated for three Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Jackson 5.
Hey DJ, over the past year I've dipped into the vintage stereo addiction. I purchased a Kenwood KR 7400 and used it for a couple of months before I was deployed and had to be away from the states while my belongings sat all summers long in an un-air conditioned apartment for about three months here in steamy Florida. When I returned, I noticed there is some scratchiness as I adjust the volume up and down - it's only merely a nuisance, but I feel as though it's not transmitting the same volume power to the speakers as it was before. Is this something I'm merely imagining, or is this something that happens in conjunction with the scratchy controls? Thanks.
Thank you for uploading this. It’s nice to see other people enjoy this type of music and you the time and effort to digitize it to share. Very lucky to be able to hear it
The power consumption of these decks under normal operation is between 5-10amps. Having more Amps is better and won't do any harm. 1 amp is way too weak for this system.
Wtf.... No amp draw is not bad... I mean amps is what kills you if you get electrocuted but you absolutely need to have enough power to power what your using. This is basic knowledge.... If you're interested in stuff there are plenty of books and courses that teach basic electricy, I would highly recommend that you look into that before you do anything at all to do with electronics because as I said how amps and voltage work is literally middleschool knowledge.
I have a passive subwoofer from Sony 5.1 system that I’d like to connect to my Klipsch fives, currently my version of home theater sound. Can I simply power this subwoofer with a mini amp ?
@@saleemzafer806 thanks for letting me know. It seems like they recently raised the price, back when I got it costs roughly 35 bux. You can literallly use any other mini amplifier or even another regular amplifier. There are similar mini amps online that are cheaper, doesn't have to be Maukey brand. Just make sure it has the same speaker and rca connections as the maukey. They also sell mini subwoofer amps online as well. I may do a followup video for everyone. Thnx!
Dude thanks! My uncle handed me down a big enclosed 2 -10” subwoofer cabinet and I been searching how to do it and everytime they never showed HOW , they just showed a layout that I don’t have. You nailed it, now I need to buy the amplifier and I’ll be cooking! Super excited !
I miss Radio Shack. It was a nerds paradise. I had a lot of Realistic stereo stuff over the years. Kind of looked down upon by pundits. But I was usually happy with the stuff. It was close to home, had things no one else had and the people who ran the business were nice. And who thought Radio Shack would go out of business. Always had a feeling that they would always be there.
Hey DJ Recipe, How about an update with the actual sound of the subwoofer doing its job? Thanks for the video, gonna give it a try. If it doesn’t work, I can always return the mini amp.
i have a 4 channel receiver 2000 watts or whatever the case may be. Does the wattage of the receiver have anything to do with my sub output ? Would my wattage go lower by adding all 4 speaker AND the sub ?
Can someone help me? I have a pioneer multi channel receiver and an Aiwa sx-m55 front speakers. The speaker has 2 wires that can be divided into 2. How will i connect them into the receiver?
This probably helps with sound quality too I have a kenwood kr 3600 receiver got it for free 3 years ago at a garage sale with jensen cs 310 speakers I have been running it ever since i got it 22watts per channel
Please note that the way this works is not due to the rate that our eyes can detect, but rather a function of the way electricity is delivered. The frequency of the AC line voltage is that 60 hz , not our eyes. The way this works is that the current is delivered in sine waves at that critical 60 Hz. This causes the light by the dots to flash on each time the current goes positive which makes those dots freeze when the on cycle of the light is synchronized with the rotation of the platter. Please note that if you bring these turntables to a country with 50 Hz electrical systems (e g UK) the platter will not be turning at the correct rate when synchronized to the light. Have fun !
