I discovered Siouxsie and The Banshees by pure accident a year ago.. I was spellbound. Loved it all the way. Now after a year, having listened to other kinds of music, I once again delved back into their works, but this time even deeper. There is so much excellent music, and it is so ahead of its time. Brave, unapologetic and magical. I am perplexed how much of Siouxsie and The Banshee's music has fallen to obscurity, The Creatures even more so. I truly hope all this music gets rediscovered.
Album cover is interesting. It has the butterflies & other insects that the U.S. & U.K. covers have, but Siouxsie is not pictured upside down on the cover & the cover is a painted drawing. I wonder if this was a promo made months before the final album artwork was decided upon, or is this how the album cover was released in France. Does anyone know? Sure hope Siouxsie graces us with new music soon. Her 2023 tour last year was quite a success. Hopefully that inspired her to work on a new album. Cute laugh at 1:39 :)
They have such a great sound. I was a big fan when the Scream came out when I was a teenager. I liked them for years. I need to revisit them. Thanks for posting this.
