i just ordered this deck and im so excited to get it - i broke my humerus rly badly though so i cant skate for months rip, but at least now ill have something to look forward to bcz shes one of my fav skaters and ive never ridden a flight deck before so i cant wait, its such a pretty deck. cool vid :)
Splinter Cell was amazing on this thing, ground breaking st the time honestly. I wish game devs today focused on ground breaking games but the industry is screwed by expensive marketing, low budget development, low budget design & high cost CEO/board of directors/legal fees
Always funny when people do poor research to make a few clicks. Just treat everything this person said as fake because the information is just wrong or misconstrued.
Which is funny cause the original developers disagree with the sentences you just typed. The fact that literal quotes from the people that made this console support my claims goes to show why I made a video meanwhile your just commenting on it. How about you do research instead of doom scrolling on a time waster like RU-vid
@@Ithrick LOL, no, they don't. Maybe do some actual research. Released in 94 since youtube has an international audience (but this one is pedantic) Saves using a coin battery could be worded better as the battery only keeps the RAM alive. Games were not just huge jewel cases. US only really, the other regions have totally different designs. The slot was used for more than RAM. It was used for memory cards, ROM cards, and even a modem. "The hardware was developed with two-dimension games in mind." This is where your research really took a dive. If it was built with 2D in mind, why were a lot of the launch titles for it 3D? Sega realized 3D was the future when the Playstation came out? Sega.... the company that was pretty much leading in 3D arcade games at the time, needed Sony to tell them 3D was the future? In reality, Saturn was built for both 2D and 3D development in mind. "Added processors for more power." They added a processor to push even more polygons than originally intended, so.... 1/2 credit? Spend the time to actually research and maybe wow your audience with accurate information.
There was no timeline where the Saturn would have surpassed the Playstation. Don't get me wrong. I love the Saturn but its complexity was always a disadvantage. That said the Saturn CAN be great at 3D in certain context. Panzer Dragoon, Burning Rangers and Sonic R look fantastic. The Saturn is at its best when you use the infinite planes to your advantage. Unfortunately a lot of these games had to resort to mixing assembly and C code. I wish they ported over more of their Japanese catalog. Some of the Japanese exclusives are AMAZING like Bulk Slash. Plenty of American gamers would have loved this stuff. Anime was taking off rapidly in the 90s thanks to Toonami. The Saturn beat the n64 in Japan through 99 and I think it would have done far better in N America with small changes prior to 1996
@@azcat94 the exclusives aren’t great but the system is way more powerful. Almost every game has better graphics and runs better on it and a couple of games have “Xbox versions” where there’s additional content to be fair ps2 had that too but also GameCube exclusives are cool but not for me personally
