This is my journey from complete beginner to skipper...hopefully!

I have been on many sailing trips over the years, mainly when on holiday or to facilitate Scuba Diving.
Sometime these excursion go smoothly, other times you feel a bit like a Sheep being herded onto a cattle boat!
It was during my most recent visit to the Dominican Republic that the latter made me realise its time to learn the ropes myself.

I will be starting from scratch. Getting to grips with single handed sailing dinghies at my local inland sailing club. Lasers and Comet's I believe.

My long term aim though, is to buy my own bluewater cruiser and head out from Portland along the Dorset coastline...and beyond.

Maybe even the Mediterranean!
