amazing....a mile high tower ....just to see 100 miles of desert sand....GENIUS!!!!💁💁💁💁💁 they think slapping up a few tall buildings , is what makes a nation or city great..... Very sad....you never will understand ....the tallest towers, without. the tallest virtues and mercies.......only advertise ignorance ,from an elevated platform.....💁💁😞😞😞😞😞
it's gonna be amazing....what a view of the desert from 4000 feet.....can see sand for 80 miles in all directions..........pure genius in Dubai to build all these tall/expensive buildings , instead of helping the great social poverty in your nations....and affiliations.......
what this presentation really accomplishes is that fewer words and pointed information makes it clear in fractions of seconds. the whole video could be faster paced with even less talking, and you'd still get it. 7:10 to 8:30 is actually the weakest part; otherwise, this is what we should endeavor to do with all information. show A. condition B intent C technique D aesthetic E implications. that's all you need. process is beautiful for artists but it has no place in illuminating an idea.
Nobody? Well, this is not entirely true. Perhaps true for Europe, US... but it is very well known in China and fairly well known in most other Asian countries. Many do business there as it is one of the top business cities and financial centers in Asia and, indeed, the world.
And to think this place was only a small fishing village 30 years ago. Now its turning into the fastest growing metropolis that NOBODY knows about. Capitalism sure is good.
This is one of the largest projects in the world at the moment. It's impossible to comprehend the sheer scale of this (and some other ones of simiar scale in China like Baetan in GZ or Binhai in TJ) development. It's bigger than NYC Manhattan... it's just incredible how Chinese cities are raising their game in urban development. Already Shenhen or Guangzhou are far superior in planning and most urban amenities than most cities in the West...
@dudewwe101 When I made my comment I was still seeing occasional groundwork pictures posted on skycraper forums, mostly just a few rickety tents and a few workers standing, nothing major.
@vicloves Work is going slow I think, there still stuck in groundwork for the main tower. The smaller towers and houses are going up fine, mostly it's just the big stuff that's getting of to a slow start.
@TheSeries30000 Get your facts straight before speaking garbage. The Chinese bought the trains from Kawasaki Japan with the first bath produce in Japan while the rest is manufactured in China with legal technology transfers and licenses. The second generation of CRH2 is even faster than their japanese counterparts after Chinese modified it with their own added tech.
I just wish they'd include Chinese people in these promotion videos. To me it just looks like fake China. Have pride in the fact you're Chinese, I don't mean exclude westerners completely but a sensible mix would look more realistic.
Interesting, I'm liking that 600m tower design and the central boulevard. I've seen pictures of what this area looks like now, nothing special, just a few industrial buildings and low-rise corporate offices. Looks like China is putting alot of effort into developing this area, can't wait to see the finished product.
