Hi, I am Richard Herring, from off the 1990s. I used to be in a double act with Stewart Lee (don't know what happened to him), but nowadays I do stand up and am making programmes and podcasts for the internet. Shows like Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast (RHLSTP), Ally and Herring's Twitch of Fun and Me1 vs Me2 Snooker www.richardherring.com for all my gigs and my blog and much more. www.gofasterstripe.com to buy my books and downloads (or DVDS grandad).

The Woke Wankers that have taken over the military have banned British Soldiers from visiting brothels in countries where it is legal. Moral Panic over practical expediency, is back. Mary's Rose Garden in Belize was an institution. Never my cup of tea but I am rational enough to realise that soldiers are soldiers. I knew more than a few that married prostitutes.
I went to the Oxford Soldiers' Museum a short while back and there was an MG 42 (German machine gun) donated by Al Murray (possibly liberated by his Dad, a wartime para).
Pierre's book is my audiobook of the year so far. He's absolutely nailed the tricky 'entertaining / enlightening' balance. It's S-tier stealth teaching.
I don't care if you're a man or a woman, if you've had sex with someone else you should either wash yourself or disclose it before you have sex with a different partner. It isn't a feminist issue, it's a hygiene and consent issue.
Paul Heaton is the best and most underrated songwriter and singer in the UK! The amount of fabulous songs he has written is just unbelievable! Thanks Paul for many years of great and inspiring entertainment I go to his concerts at least 4 times a year in the UK and Ireland just to get the energy to keep going!! Please keep going!
Enjoyed the social politics of Housemartins from start! Now I play Paul Heaton music through the night( I don't sleep well) and it really makes me feel safe in your company! Fantastic narratives which reminds me to be touching society with my actions and philosophy. Went to see The South too .
Paul Heaton and his various bands partnerships are permanently on my driving playlist along with Bryan Adams and Mika. Others get added and dropped, but Paul is always there and I don't think that will ever change.
@@92RedRevolver Yes what you need for this hobby are ; A pen and paper, a working internet connection, a flask of weak lemon drink and a packet of Jacobs Cream Crackers.
Just in case anyone happens to be interested in Tom Hanks talking about food (quite a niche 😂), then he did Last Meals on Mythical Kitchen a little while ago. 🤟
Obviously he has read Hamilton's three large volumes on Montgomery. Refreshing to have someone do some honest appraisals on social media of Montgomery.
If Richard wants to understand how hard even the simple stuff in war is, just watch Al & Jim Holland try to brew tea in his recent D-Day walking the ground vids.
Monty's problem was that he had no filter. Most of us moderate our tone to suit the company. He couldn't do that and hence pissed off the Americans. I saw the interviews with Monty done in the early 1960s and was surprised how well he came across. A tough man, definitely. Socially awkward, maybe. Likeable? Not always. But intelligent and surprisingly braod minded I thought. I'd have had a beer with him sooner than serve under him.
Al Murray or as I like to call him Professor Al Murray. Should have a series all to himself about the history of warfare. I enjoyed his D Day landings (both of them) and Holland.....
So called modern comedians are generally a bunch of sanctimonious, woke, ideologically unsound, progressive, cultural Marxist, quisling, 5th columnist, Yuri Bezmenov defined useful idiot, disasters for British society. Cannot stand any of them including but not exclusively this pair of bell-whiffs
It's a conversation not an interview. If you watch/listen to more you will see I sometimes talk a lot of sometimes talk less. A lot of it is down to judging where the guest is at and giving them time to answer. Sorry if the balance wasn't right for you in this one.
rich.i just had a thought that is nothing to do with moonunit.... have you tried using AI to create a video of an ant with the head of natalie imbruglia? ..or natalie imbruglia with the head of a ant
A man as funny as Vic Reeves loves Cori with celery and hummus? It's like being told Salvador Dali had his whole house painted beige, or that Heston Blumenthal's favourite drink is coke
This was an unexpected gem. Two guys who understand each other's sense of humour, having a good, old laugh. I've never been to Prett, but perhaps that's only for the sorthern ponce.
