I know this is a bit late of a reply, but, I do like you modification to the stock air box. I had a BIG Mouth Air intake that runs across the top of the Radiator, 3" tubing to the air box. If you put Hurricane Extractors, Twin 3" to back dump pipes, do a Dyno on it, My BA G220 got just under 300bhp. Not back for a stockie setup. Now I've got a 2007 BF Fairlane, 5.4ltr of course, this will have different cams in it from stock ones, so I'm hoping to break the 300bhp. Yippie, Bloody great fun.
Exactly the same thing happened to my BA Falcon. The actuators look the same. I put a new worm drive in but it won't lock still! Can the lock sensor be faulty?
It's an Australian car, but there are 3rd party conversion specialists. I remember seeing a right hand drive Cadillac Seville in London, and an Escalade.
@@nomebear nice. Didn't know they made those in Australia Pontiacs. though that was surprising to see I knew they had holdens, ford's and dodges thru mid 2010s.
Seems like ford like using cheap plastic parts. This door actuator and the mixer bar for the heater/cooling. Should of stayed with Holden at this point.
Hi mate. Thanks for your video, its really helpful. The only issue I'm having is getting hold of the plastics parts to fit the lock. Would you be so kind to share what its called or how I can find it? Thank you
I see your point. Good pickup! I couldn't figure out how to edit video, possibly I changed it back. Important note here everyone..as you take it apart, put it back together the same way. Cheers.
@@trevormcd8541 thanks buddy. Anything to help people out there and save some money on car maintenance. And as you probably found actually quite satisfying and rewarding to be able to fix it etc with a little guidance. Cheers 👍
omg are you serious? my button that makes you able to move the gearstick had broken I thought it was gonna be a costly repair but its just a screw driver job?!
Good, instructive video! This looks like the same problem as my Territory. You mentioned you can buy the plastic gear and worm drive unit on eBay. Would you please tell me what it's actually called? Cheers.
Gday I haven't dynoed the car, but definitely feels more responsive and sounds great. I have since also fully modified the factory air box to contain it as another option incase in your area exposed pods are not permitted. I will add a new video tomorrow to show this option also. Cheers for watching.
Comment added. I have also added an updated video to show a concealed setup which I'm currently running. Absolutely love it. Sounds great, better throttle response and no trouble at all.
