We believe that we show the most courage when we are having authentic exchanges that are rooted in truth, vulnerability and that interrupt negative patterns of thinking and being. Courageous Exchanges was created by friends Alex and Joi; as a way to capture some of the conversations we believe many women are having on a regular basis. Although many of the topics we share are relatable for most women, we share our perspectives on an array of topics from a Black woman’s point of view. It is our sincere hope that women will connect to the content and find opportunities to have courageous conversations within supportive circles.
Another great episode! Both of yall skin is sooo glowy, I love it. Alex, I love how you cutely added the podcast name into the conversation. Joi, I loved when you said, "When you play stupid games, you get stupid prizes." 😂 never heard that before. I appreciate the perspectives every time and the transparency. 💙
I am free from getting invested in people’s stuff if being invested becomes a struggle. It’s so hard but I’ve felt so much lighter since I’ve let people do what they want in/with their lives.
I was all excited about a possible in-person event. This first-generation Haitian woman will do what she can to show up!! Also, I thought at one point yall were gonna mention a retreat because I'd definitely be into that as well! Here for the upcoming guests, but sad that yall are gonna be MIA for a bit. I woke up Thursday morning & was like wait where's the episode?! Lol, I'll be tuned in for sure for the new season. I was cracking up at the Real Housewives quotes & the presidential one. Don't judge me, but I did screenshot leggings to buy from Sheree's line that I thought were cute. Thank you for an amazing season! Looking forward to seeing yall come back! 🥰
Love yall! I really look forward to these Thursdays when I wake up. Another great episode. I was cracking up at Alex's facial expressions when my Leo sis was talking about Leo season which is THEE best season( I said what I said.) Anywho, thank you. I felt scared turning 30 last year, but grew out of the fear. For me, it was having to hear from my mom about marriage and children which I feel puts pressure on me. Haitian mom's, smh. Yes, but it's MY LIFE & thank youfore the tip on not feeling old as long as you want to learn & grow. Thank you ladies! 💙
LADIESSSSS!!! Yall were in my business but in a good way. Reminds me of conversations I've had with my therapist. & this conversation gives me more to journal about before my next session. As always, thank you Queens for how you show up, educate, and keep it real! 🩵
I forgive you! It was still a great episode. I loved the breakout in song "I miss you" I love the laughs. Yall are continuing to keep it real and that'll keep me coming back. But wheww when Alex mentioned parental relationships, baby! But yes, for me wanting marriage and now realizing that work does need to be done it's not just a simple decision because things could go very wrong if the work isn't done. Looking forward to part two ladies! 🥰
Thank you ladies! I love the realness that you both come with. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I love the intro card game. So fitting. I’m genuinely grateful for the time and effort you both have invested in bringing this podcast to life. I’m excited about the future episodes. Continue killing it, Alex and Joi🎉🎉 Nelly
Loved everything about this. I'm excited to get to know you both more. I was really intrigued by Alex also being Haitian. Girl!!! But hearing that the question about love is loaded is REAL. Sending love. The card game was a great and thought-provoking way to start off the podcast. I also love that yall are on video because it gives it more of a personal touch. Thank you for starting this podcast and sharing it!! ❤️
