Veteran singer, songwriter and musician Jesse Harris has just announced the release of new album Silver Balloon, out Oct. 21 on Secret Sun Recordings. The Grammy-winning Harris had his breakthrough in 2003, having written Norah Jones’ first and biggest hit “Don’t Know Why.” On Silver Balloon he collaborates with downtown NYC drummer/multi-instrumentlist Kenny Wollesen to create a unique sonic landscape of dreams, the past and science fiction. “We played all the instruments ourselves,” Harris explains, “recording one song a day, and then processing the tracks through harmonizers and other gear.”
LYRICS: We gotta know where we're going Or else we could lose our way If we find trouble We'll have ourselves to blame We gotta know what we're doing It's easy to make mistakes When no one's looking That's when the world can change We gotta know what we got Cause if we lose we lose a lot We gotta know when to stop Searching for what we got We gotta know what we're thinking It's easy to think too much And keep on pushing Until we're out of touch We gotta know what we got Cause if we lose we lose a lot We gotta know when to stop Searching for what we got
I am Korean. I am just here to listen to your music in the algorithm. Your music sends me to unspecified time. I hope you leave a meaning in the world like you came to me wandering around.
Wow i came here and saw that I had disliked this video and then i remembered coming across this 10 years ago, when i looked him up to see if I'd see him play in nyc. Today i removed that dislike. Thanks for sharing
Se fosse o Lula e a família, teria Jornal 9NACIONAL, Globo Repórter Jovem KLAN, todos querendo prisão do Lula e da família, mas como o escândalo, a sujeira é do Bozo nada acontece.
I went to college with Jessie-he loved the knoll, at least to a point. I used to sit in very occasionally with his band The Fabulous Flying Funk Monkeys. But only for stones covers. Glad to see he’s still doing it. I still remember that Sunday night he won the grammy for “Don’t Know Why”. I was like, hey I used to know a dude named Jessie Harr... HOLY SHIT!”
Underwater and aerial (drone) photography?? In a Jesse Harris video?? What's next, a gravity-free simulation? ;) Video, schmideo! It's all about the songwriting...and the songwriting never disappoints!
