One thing I do know on those whatever your start time is and your first zone you don't have to keep on adding up you wanted to start at 5:00 put all of them at 5:00 because it will start with the first one and go through it sequence after each time area I'm just trying to figure out the second run time
I have a sprinkle zone with 2 pulsed rotory sprinkler headers like the one you described in this video. One head is from Rain Bird, the other is from Lawn Genie. Now both were stuck at the left side and not rotating. I can manually turn the heads to right, they turn back to left, and then stay stuck there. What kind of problem is this? Initially I thought one of the head is broken, but now I see both behave the same way, I think the heads may still be ok, but something else is wrong. Do you have any idea?
I installed an LED light bar on my previous F-150 (2014), but when wiring it up, I just connected it directly to the back of my 7-pin trailer connector to avoid the hassle of running a single wire from the right side of the vehicle. However, now I'm going to install one on my 2019 Lariat, and I may just follow your suggestions. Thanks for the video.
The reason to use drip irrigation instead of spray is to reduce water loss due to evaporation. Also, with drip irrigation, you have the ability to only water where the plants are growing, so less water is used.
I tried to run 3 of these in series and I guess I dont have enough water pressure to run them. IDK i checked water pressure and its 50psi from hose bib but after the first sprinkler head its down to 20psi I have a large area to cover no sure what to do. I didnt want to have to continue moving it around the yard
Deleting zones is simple with your instructions. Multiple times for a zone will all be the same duration on my SST900i. Have never had a controller fail but have progressively expanded my system from 4 zones to now 9 zones with future expansion in the works. Will just add my old zone unit along side my 9.
Unscrew/screw the entire unit from where it is threaded in the ground to adjust the left edge? That is not correct. If you need to adjust it to the right just a little, and if it’s it already screwed on tight, you would have to loosen it almost an entire turn in the ground. Which may cause it to leak in the ground. Oh, and you are right. The manufacturers instructions (and their video) are horrible.
That’s exactly what he’s doing, which is not correct. To adjust the left edge of sprinkler I’m working on, o would have to unscrew it 3/4 a turn in the ground. Not gonna do that.
@@sgib199 Thank You!!!! .... I thought so! Even rainbird shows a vid here using locking plyers to grab the entire housing and turn!!...what the heck!!???? Their instructions here and as written on the head I bought are horrible!
@@prsguitars42 I just did it how Handy Dandy Andy shows how to do it. But I did not use locking pliers. I was able to pop up the inner sleeve using a screw driver in that third slot, and hold it up, and rotate by holding on tight. It isn’t easy, because it was all wet and muddy from trying to do it the wrong way, and that center section wants to pull back down and close up. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YoIyj023ezE.htmlsi=avfBRntZ0vk6st_J
@@prsguitars42 and another thing….it would be much easier to get it close first (the left edge) before filling all the dirt in and turning the water on.
As I go to do my project I come online to ask: WHY is my bag of concrete (same kind as pictured) not granulated & so it's like small pebbles VS fine like sand? when I add my water it don't do anything. Even my shovel can't make it not so crunchy & fine.
Pretty sure whatever company installed my system (6 zones) with an 8 zone controller just randomly picked which sprinklers were on each sone because they dont seem like they're on the same tubes if that makes sense.
I bought my house in 2017, and the sprinkler system uses Toro sprinkler heads. I have a series 570 head, and it works just the opposite of what you demonstrate...as I turned the head counterclockwise it was opening the head--I almost screwed off the head completely. and clockwise was closing it. Do you know if they changed the method of opening and closing the valves since then?
I just bought one of these and tried adjusting it with the water on. Ended up popping the top of and getting a face full of water 🤣 Your video is so helpful and I figured out how to do it correctly. Thank you so much!
Good video - UNTIL you went outside: the head pretty much filled the video shot, not allowing the viewer to see how exactly the left stopping point is set. I THINK you turn the main screw more to the right to lessen the angle to the left. Re the arrows, I always set them toward the center of the area to be watered.
It would be helpful if you could use the words "clockwise" and "counterclockwise". When you say "to the left" there is ambiguity because it could mean "the top goes to the left" (= counterclockwise) or "the bottom goes to the left" (= clockwise).
Awesome. Just what i needed to see. I am installing in a bathroom that never had a fan and the wires are black white and copper. Now that i see how you did it i have confidence. Thank you.
