they were playing a stored recording of the "footage", its probably in file that can be played by windows media player. (btw i know the show is 99% fake), but i have seen variety of programs used to play recordings of CCTV footage. I have never seen one to look like that, that is obviously fake, but playing recorded footage in windows media player is something people do
