Ono Island used to be called "Goat Island". It used to be owned by 1 old man with a herd of goats. It is entirely composed of ancient Native American burial grounds. When these rich people build their houses they dig up burial mounds of Natives and totally disrespect the history of the island. They also empty their human waste into Perdido Bay every summer. I know because it floats past my dock every summer. This place is a farce and only rich idiots with no respect live there.
Very nice complex but from what i can see there isn't any beach access close by, it looks like the entire beach side is roped off with no trespassing signs? is there deeded beach access?
Great Video! Hey, in the next few years, my wife and I and kids will be migrating down there from Colorado After kids graduate from High school. I used to live in Pensacola Perdido Key back in the early 2000s when I was in the military. My question: Any nearby towns in Alabama you find affordable yet safe a jump to the beach in 10-15 min?
