I would argue that condemning "toxic masculinity" is a disinformation campaign to demoralize those who are willing to stand up to elite power. Rather we need to condemn widespread toxic femininity, which has been on parade in society for the last few years: state power to keep us "safe" (lockdowns), material security over morality & common sense (the welfare state), the dominance of feelings over logic & language, the trust in government (the metaphoric parent), hypergamy & polygamy in relationships (which reduces men to their monetary value), vicious, tactical, anonymous gossip (social media, Moira Donegan, Taylor Lorenz, How To Destroy a Man, by Sally A. Owen), and lack of accountability ("rules for thee, but not for me" and refusal to acknowledge guilt in the face of plain evidence).
I commend you for taking on the role of a mother, a wife, and a boss lady so gracefully. You are doing amazing!! It's not easy and you deserve nothing but praise. ✨
The Bible says it's gonna get worse. It says a days wage for a loaf of bread. This is just the beginning. It also says the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer.
Where in the absolute fuck are you living dude? Trying to live along with the rich and you're complaining about being poor. Go to a lesser area, just because you can't afford to be with wealthy doesn't mean the world needs to figure it out it means YOU need to figure out. Your statements have a lot of "I, I, I" like were supposed to feel bad that you can't afford to keep up with a luxury lifestyle. You're on RU-vid dude, you're preaching to the wrong choir. We're all struggling in a much less place than you my guy
@saltycado - Unfortunately, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are actually two of the more affordable options in my area. Definitely not trying to live above my means, just trying to survive.
Half of us already have figured it out. Actions have consequences….Idk maybe do a little research before you vote (royal you)…. Idk which is worse….knowing that you’re (not you personally liberals in general) responsible for your own demise or watching the geriatric senile pedo that tricked the vast majority of the minority voter base to vote for him using extremely racial, ignorant and most importantly divisive ultimately turn his back on those exact same Americans hurting the most right now that put him in office as he hands out $10k Visa cards, free lodging, travel, airfare, etc to ppl who came here a week ago illegally and have not contributed a cent to the tax base. And not only is he doing this while you and your family literally struggle to pay bills and starve but he is kicking inner city kids out of schools as well as our homeless out of shelters to make sure these individuals are nice and comfy….” Blue no matter who” though right!?! And I DONT CARE WHAT TRUMP DID…Your family wasn’t on the brink of starving and/or being homeless 3 yrs ago so check your emotions at the voting booth door and be an adult like the rest of us
By 6:45 am at work. Classes starts at 7 and end at 16:00. I get home I have to be a mother and a wife doing the cooking and home stuff. Come Saturday, am exhausted
She actually explained it - let’s break it down: she starts at 9, but has to get her son off to Pre-K by 12:45. If you account for the time it takes to get a child ready, that would give her 3 hours to work. She then comes back after getting her little one off on the bus and continues her workday until about 5. She didn’t say she only works 3 hours a day…
I'm sorry, what are you complaining about? You don't even have any kind of commute. I have to commute an hour and a half each way but I'm happy about it because I only have to go to the office 2 days a week. But my day usually starts at 6:00 in the morning. What are you talking about girl?😮
@@Ariana-.-Mariah no because I know people who bearly sleep and I don't bitch around how my life is hard because is always who has worse life than me. So shut up and enjoy your day.
@@TheMalwina89 You wanted something cause why else would you feel the need to say what you said? She wasn't complaining, she was explaining her day which an adult would understand the difference and she never said life was hard, she said it was crazy that's not the same. If you can't tell the difference that's you problem.
Studies actually show there are numerous benefits to Pre-K for children, including higher test scores and the development of social skills. Sharing a reference if you’re interested in reading up on it ☺️: www.washingtonpost.com/education/2023/05/08/new-look-benefits-quality-preschool-education/
The ideology that this generation somehow has discovered something that other generations hadn't discovered shows how blind they are. It is also narcissistic, why do you think your life is only about your feelings. Rise up and care for someone other than yourself.
Thank you for joining the conversation. It appears you misunderstood the context of the clip. We are a group of people who care dearly for others, and that often causes us to lose sight on things that fulfill ourselves. The conversation was based around how we can make our passions a priority while still handling our responsibilities. We invite you to watch the full conversation to understand more. Have a blessed day ❤️
@AnxiousWhileBlackPodcast life is not about good versus evil or love versus hate... it is about loving others versus loving yourself. When you are loving yourself you are usually taking someone else forgranted, if not completely abusing or using them. The true calling in life is to abound self love in its entirety and focus on loving others. That being said I too fail miserably at this on a regular basis.
There is a very fine line between self-love and being self-absorbed/narcissistic. To be the very best version of yourself - so you can be of service to others - you have to sometimes take a step back and take the time to love and appreciate all that you can offer to this world. You can’t pour unto others with a half full glass - you have to take the time to pour unto yourself, even if it’s just for a moment.
@AnxiousWhileBlackPodcast The premise there, I believe, is wrong. I have never met an infant that needs to be taught to be greedy. Instead, they need to be taught to share. I understand that you will view this as going to the extreme. Yeshua did not make many assumptions, but there is one that He made that is well overlooked. He said love others as yourself. Yeshua assumed that everyone already loves themselves. Even in your deepest depression, there is a sense of pride and conceit that has driven you to that place. If what you are saying is that you should reflect and correct your character flaws, I would agree to some degree. But I would wager that if you changed your focus to the needs of others, the character flaws would work themselves out. As far as your glass being half, if you can bring yourself to trust in the Lord, He promises to fill your cup. Again, in an attempt to not be a hypocrite, I must confess that all of this, I, too, struggle with this.
This is one of the most cringe things I’ve ever seen on the internet and this is coming from an African man. How about dismantle the gangs, murderer and thieves ruining the black community? You want to solve a problem by using the wrong answer. You cannot be you 2s age and comfortably talk about white supremacy, you know nothing of it and haven’t seen a single real example. The fact you have all that equipment and can freely even talk about white supremacy is a perfect example of how you’re talking about nothing. Do you think 1940 black people were able to openly own such expensive equipment and openly threaten white people? Y’all are mad privileged and it shows
Thanks for joining the conversation. We’re very aware of what white supremacy is and know it is a serious topic - as Americans we have seen plenty of real examples. It’s unfortunate you weren’t able to understand our sarcasm in this situation. We obviously can’t send a group of people to an island, or sink an island for that matter - so not exactly sure how that is categorized as a threat. Sometimes, to be able to cope with being torn down just for the way you were born requires you to be able to laugh - it is the best medicine after all. We definitely value your feedback and appreciate you taking the time to comment.
I really enjoyed this episode you guys touched base on so much, especially on things that a lot of ppl are afraid to be open about. Certain stigmas in the black community mainly (therapy) I think everyone should try it atleast once ❤
Thank you for listening and sharing your thoughts. Yes, therapy is such an unappreciated and underused tool. We have to face and approach these stigmas, breaking generational cycles in our community.
