If you love popcorn, then you’ve come to the right place. Once upon a time, my family and I were the proud owners of a bustling gourmet popcorn shop, offering an array of over 25 popcorn flavors daily.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen family matters, we had to make the tough decision to close our doors. We stored all our equipment, holding onto the hope that one day we would reignite our passion for popcorn. That day came sooner than expected, and here we are, sharing our love for gourmet popcorn with the world.
Our mission is simple: to empower you with knowledge about everything popcorn-from popping to selling, and of course, savoring every bite.
Subscribe to our channel Popcorn Genius for insider tips and tricks on the best equipment, mastering the art of popping, and creating irresistible popcorn flavors and kettle corn. Let's embark on this popcorn journey together and get out there and get poppin’
Hi. Thank you for this video! I've always loved popcorn ever since I was a child! I've been searching for a few years for the brand movie theaters use. I already knew about Flavacol, and I used brands like Franklins, Snappy, Amish Country, Great Northern, but today I just found out about LouAna Butter Oils and Topping. So I researched it and found your video. I also read comments on Amazon and Reddit that this is the oil that theaters use. I do have a question for you about the oil: Do you know its shelf life?
Thank you so much for the kind words! So appreciated!! Thats terrific that you’ve been working on perfecting your movie theater popcorn 🍿 😀😀. From what I can tell this popping oil has a shelf life of 360 days. Products with coconut oil tend to last longer. Thank you so much for watching!! 🙏
That Smores Popcorn is so good, and I use Kit kat Candy bars to put in the Popcorn with Strawberry syrup and Normal Syrup at home, and I make it for my Movie Night with my Stuffed animals.
We don’t currently have any videos out there but we do have it on the list to make some. We appreciate you watching and for the push in that direction. 🙏 thank you!!
Very awesome to see this video after seeing this video i am also want to taste this flavour popcorn 🍿 but its not possible to buy your product i am in india chennai .what to do its like an dream and go it .
I was thinking of starting out with this machine since it’s cheaper than the larger ones to start my popcorn business. Can I add sugar and make kettle corn in this machine?
Hello! Thank you for watching! Yes! You definitely can, check out the video starting at 6:45 where I demonstrate how to make kettle corn in this popper. I hope that helps!
Excellent video! Wow on the results. Unfortunately, they did change the receipt of Flossine blue raspberry. The new mixture tastes burnt. It has little black burnt specks on the corn. I contacted the manufacture and they basically said " It was made for cotton candy, and It wasn't made for popcorn due to the high temperatures (400 degrees)." In fairness I pop with a 160qt kettle and regulating the temperature is by feel.
Thank you so much for sharing! Gold Medal's response is so interesting. We are going to give this another go in the kettle corn machine and we are going to order new blue raspberry flossine to make sure we have their most up to date recipe. Thank you again!!!
What should be pointed out is that his machine is a 1220 watt popper, which works well for sugared popcorn. Most poppers ressembeling his size of popper are watted much higher - typically around 1440 watts (give or take). This high of wattage will burn the sugar. Without a zoom-out of the unit, I would guess that his popper is made by Paragon. Those Paragon poppers work great for sugared popcorn, but ufortunately, I don't think they make them anymore. The lowest watt poppers out there of this size are probably going to be around 1300 watts.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! You are right in I don’t think they make this machine anymore. This machine is a 6oz kernel king and it was made by Slush Puppie 😀. We did just purchase a Paragon popper though which can be seen in our latest video and we really do like it. Thank you so much for watching!! We really appreciate it!
I used the flossing in my kettle corn machine and it burns and taste bitter. It did not used to. The strawberry and lemon flossine taste good but not the blue raspberry
We built our machine for under $1000. The biggest expense is purchasing the stainless steel kettle (dough bowl). If you find one used, you can do it for much cheaper. Ours is a 60 quart popper. Here is a link to the plans to build your own: www.popcorngenius.com/shop/p/kettle-corn-popper-plans-60-qt Thank you for watching!!
What would recommend to get better color coverage? Is it safe to use food coloring in the kettle/ on the popcorn and if so what kind? …Loganberries, interesting 😊
Great question! You can use food coloring! Sometimes we will add food coloring to the sugar before adding it to the popper. Any type of food coloring will work! Loganberries :) - We were shocked by that too - Thank you for your support! 🙏
@@PopcornGenius thank you for believing in me sir.....the only problem am having now is nobody to support the poor upcoming boy .....if I can get a machine now I will be able to start up something
@@Funnykiddocomedy I see what you mean. Maybe start popping corn on your stove using a pot, save up enough money to buy a machine. I've heard of others starting that way!
@@Funnykiddocomedy Hello! We would love for you to message us. You can message us through our Instagram, our website, or our email address which is on the about section of our channel.
@@PopcornGenius I will need to have a financial backing for me to start up the business (popcorn). Maybe for a start, get the manual machine first, and then from there I start with something, no matter how small.
That's a great idea! We haven't done a crawfish boil before, but the stainless steel kettle and burner should be allow for a crawfish boil. Thanks for asking and we appreciate you watching!! 🙏
@@amcconnell6730 oooo, another great idea! It seems like it would be possible as a turkey fryer has very similar parts, such as the pot and burner, so I imagine you could do that, but we never have tried it.
My eight year old daughter and I enjoy watching your videos. You seem like a fun loving person and a popcorn RU-vid channel is a great idea! Happy 4th from Bandera, TX!
You and your daughter rock!! You just made my day! Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate you both for watching and for your support! Thank you! 🙏 Happy 4th to you too! 🇺🇸
Hello! Thank you so much! We use butter coconut oil for movie theater popcorn and savory flavors because it adds more rich buttery flavor. We usually pop kettle corn and other sweet corns using corn oil. Great question! Thank you for watching!!
