If all these vehicles for 8,ooo ,10000 where are they where is the pictures of them, news websites have been harping on them. They've been doing this for months haven't seen one yet just a bunch of clickbait
I do not believe they are going to sell a pick up truck for 5 thousand bucks , I would buy three right now. One for me (I am 87 and two more for my great grandsons that are 11 years old.
Why is it everybody's coming out with an 8000 trucks but we've never seen any of them for what they look like if you're going to make these trucks by now we should be seeing something of them I think all these sites I just clickbait give us something to see if the manufacturer is going to make it let's see it instead of talking about it all the time
Ford-lincoln is absolutely stupid. We just left them! Went to the dealership to buy a new car- I said CAR.. Needed a replacement for our very good Luncoln MKS sedan and we were told they don't make cars anymore. Only SUVs. We left and are now considering an Audi or BMW sedan. ( or might just hold on to our current Lincoln for a few more years) How smart is Lincoln being? Do you see Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Jaguar, or Lexus stop making cars? No, they're not stupid.
Words , words, words. I'm in my third lincoln. Why buy new when Budget will sell you one for half. By the time you pay it off, they pull the plug on parts and production. Same song, second verse. Then there was the Olds diesel saga and my Seville Northstar disaster. Buy a Toyota pilgrim.
I went online and this is what I found ............................................... " On the eve of this year’s New York Auto Show, Ford has announced the return of the Lincoln Continental nameplate. Affixed to a big, bold luxury sedan, the hope is that a production version slated for 2016 will restore Lincoln to its former glory. " .......................................... Obviously this never happened. It might happen in the future but it might not so don't hold your breath.
Give us a simple truck, no computer, all weel drive, good milage per mile and we will buy it next day. Joe Doe deplirable gor sick of being robed by the car sellers withh all those useless additions and perks.
Making the same mistake Toyota made with its ‘Crown’ car. Toyota already had to dramatically drop prices of the Crown car in order to improve sales realizing the SUV market is stronger than they thought.
This video is old news. The new Continental was release, produced a few years, and now it's gone along with the rest of the sedans in the Ford/Lincoln lineup (except the Mustang). And it's too bad...my wife has a new Continental and it's very nice. But Ford's choice to ditch all sedans kind of ruined the Continental's chances of getting much market share. In my opinion, it deserved a second iteration of the new model and it never got it. All SUV's and crossovers now...but that is what sells the most so it was a business decision for Ford.
I hope the MKZ car makes a comeback. I said it before but I’m stating it again. Ford discarded the MKZ & all of the cars & kept the SUV’s & Pickups. They kept the Sports Cars. The Continental is very expensive. I don’t understand why people think the V8 is the way to go. The MKZ had 3 engines. They had a V6, V4 & the Hybrid. My 4 is a 2 liter 248 & 278 horsepower & pound feet of torque. I traded my V6 for the 4. My car is the Reserve Model with all wheel drive. I have the sunroof too. My car has all of the safety features needed for me to buy it. I had to cut over 4 lanes. I hit the gas & was pinned in my seat. I definitely made it without being close. I got caught in the wrong lane because it was a new road that I wasn’t sure of the exit. I have owned 4,6&8 cylinder cars in my lifetime. This 4 cylinder had plenty of punch to it. It has all of the Safety Features that you could ever want. If traffic suddenly stops fast in front of you the car will slow down or stop to avoid any accidents. The V6 has 400 horsepower & 400 pound feet of torque. My TransAm was a 400 horsepower. I don’t recall the size of the engine for the Hybrid. I believe that didn’t have AWD. Living in a snow belt region I wanted the V4. The problem with the Continental is the price. It was $66,000 on up-to $100,000. The ravings of this reviewer dealing with Electric & Plugins. People have been electrocuted by their cars not to mention several of the plugins have caught fire. The cars that are Hydrogen have been an issue with the car blowing up. These plugins aren’t selling. I don’t blame them. There’s not a lot of people talk about the downside of owning & the maintenance of them. A critical point to make is the repair of these vehicles is astronomical. $60,000 to replace the batteries in the vehicle. The drop in resell for Plugins is cut to more than half for a 1 year vehicle. This was not an issue with Lincoln. The real reason Lincoln cars are coming back is Cadillac has released several of its cars. For years they were competitive with Cadillac. I’m a car enthusiast. I refused to buy an SUV or pickup. The maintenance on the SUV’s & Pickups are much more expensive than owning a car. Most SUV’s & pickups weren’t selling. I might be the exception but, I’m one person. I don’t need a big vehicle. I have a 2018 Lincoln MKZ 2 Liter Reserve AWD. I wanted my car to be a Sporty Luxury Car. Although the definition of a Sporty Vehicle has changed. Now some of the other cars they call sporty in my opinion are not sporty. It used to be a 2 door vehicle’s were considered by the Insurance Companies to be Sporty. This way the Sporty car was outrageous to insure. Now I paid the higher premiums. Where as I gave my brother & his wife my TransAm. The insurance for them was that of a regular sedan. I was considered High Risk but, they weren’t. Theirs 6 or 7 years difference between he & I. I’m the eldest. I had the car for 10 years. I was considered High Risk. Since when did it make sense to make a judgement on who is charged more because they have a family. My Mom had a lead foot & my Dad drove like Grandma Moses. My family had Fords, Mercury & Lincoln’s. I’m rambling. One thing I wish for Lincoln to do is make a better Battery. I also wish they would give the customer a wider range of color palette. I seriously want the MKZ to make a return. I saw a concept car & it looked horrible. I haven’t slept in 24 hours that’s why I’m rambling. Do your research on the vehicle you’re interested in. Double check with your insurance company to make sure it doesn’t blindside you. Make sure you test drive it too. People have in their heads that the car’s are junk because the auto industry hasn’t changed. Trust me, they have. I forgot one thing, the Plug-in car’s, SUV’s & Pickups all had issues with their vehicle not starting. The battery doesn’t like cold weather. I would never buy a Tesla. They are crap vehicles.
I like it. A 2 door hybrid with modern comforts and conveniences would be a nice upgrade from my 2 door Silverado. I sure wish America could figure out how to make a good looking and affordable 2 door truck that gets great gas mileage. America invented pickup trucks and 2 doors were the standard for half a century. Both of my Grandfathers drove 2 door pickup trucks; and both of those old 2 door trucks are still cherished family members. It's absolutely shameful that America is letting Japan spank our bare bottoms like schoolyard bullies when it comes to making affordable, efficient 2 door pickups. Absolutely shameful. 😞
