Was going to add him but I thought that because he only has a level 2 champion I wouldn't include him. Same reason I didn't include Allen in the tier list.
From what im understanding in this video both players started the game with their spirit on board, he should not be able to cast grand crusader ring turn one because you always materialize your spirit at the start of your first turn, you do not start the game with your spirit out.
Fire Merlin went first and brought out his spirit, didn't play a card and past turn to the silvie player, and then the Fire Merlin player materialized ring the following turn. Hope this helps :)
The round 1 fire merlin player made a mistake, merlin3 couldnt have swung for 3 with sword of seeking as he materialized tithe proc and dungeon guided to merlin 3, merlin only has 1 level counter and attacks for 1 only. He added a random level counter on the merlin 3 after swing.
I think erupting shouldn’t be in category 2, I think there are plenty of options to deal with it right now and I think that a general problem with the game are the Allies decks which are really easy to play, aggressive and strong. However I pretty like the current metagame
It's crazy to me that it took 1 Ascent to put outlook to category 1 but Pendragon still hasn't but put there. I think outlook should be there but its just now getting to see play and Tristan hasn't been seen much so its been hard to test against it.
It is a bit frustrating that at the higher end of the tier list we see level three decks are still predominantly fire, whereas water and wind are sort of forced more into ally builds because they can't keep up otherwise. There's something very appealing about defecting from one of the other elements to build a level three deck out of the old trusty fire base (cremation, creative, hasty, fast cure, stalwart, honourable, DG). I do think they need to either need to tone back fire and hit their consistency engine in some way, or provide water and wind (especially) more card and time efficient ways of hitting level three.
Dungeon guide and resolute stand let these decks avoid their weak early game. Its not really possible to punish them for running a really greedy deck at the moment.
I think the problem is with the spells. The spells hits too hard, and there isn't much way to prevent them efficiently since they can either be fast activate or can be spammed multiple copy in one turn.
That’s definitely fair, I just think Rais issue from day one has been consistency, as the deck bricks quite often. When it does its thing though it’s definitely one of the best decks in the game 🙂
As a new player “I don’t need to explain this card” is exactly the worst thing to hear in a video 😅 checking out GA thanks to the Re:C decks and it’s been very difficult to find new player friendly content. Love the gameplay videos though just add card images to them!
GCR is free card draw, Tarrif ring makes it so your opp has to pay 2 each time they declare an attack until end of turn so punishes ally heavy decks and safeguard amulet makes non-combat damage against your champion -4 for the turn so decks that run a lot of direct damage like fireball, arcane blast, storm slime etc. What he's essentially trying to do from what i can understand is discard a bunch of slimes with effects like baby red slime and hasty messenger so he can banish them using slime eruption and then drop storm slime which does damage equal to the number of banished slime cards.
Thank you for the feedback! I plan on upgrading the setup for my gameplay videos in the near future, so the quality will be a lot better! I will also be adding the card images when players activate cards, so watch this space :)
The only real expensive cards would be the Dungeon Guide playset and a Grand Crusader's Ring. It depends on your currency but ideally you'd be able to get a playset of dungeon guides for $60-$75USD and a Ring is around $40USD.
@@kirika119those cards are what we would deem as staples and this deck was I believe about half of the top cut of the most recent 100+ player event iirc, if not in this form or some other
Isn’t malignant athame being played wrong? Malignant Athame only deals 2 damage AFTER swapping hand and memory right? Or is it possible to activate the effect, choose not to swap, and then still resolve the “Then” clause that deals damage?
You may swap the memory. Then, of the memory is 4 you do 2 unpreventable. So whether you swap the memory or not you can do 2 damage if 4 cards are in the memory.
Oh this one is me! Couple of notes! -I'm super greedy in this match, going for Scepter delays me too much and I lose any hopes of playing on curve -Frag Spirit of Water would put this over rate for sure, we really want to open Primordial Ritual and Stalwart turn 1 -Tide Diviner still kinda sucks, probs cut it for Gildas or Lunette, something to help with dealing with creatures on board. This could also be Frost Shard but I dunno, slow hurts that a lot. Otherwise, fun deck! Wind next week!
