I bought my first 357 Sig a G33 in 1998. Along with it I bought and still have a box of Federal ammo exactly like this and a box of 125gr Speer Gold Dots at the same time which I still have as well. Now Underwood is my load of choice.
@@MathewJC25 Thank you very much I appreciate that!! Maybe somtime soon. I don't have a .38 super at the moment but was definitely considering one for testing🤔
The best caliber. Awesome test and nice pistol. Wish I had one of those all I have is glocks in .357 sig. looking forward to seeing you back more often👍
Always appreciate your efforts and content. Please note original velocity advertised in SIG's ads was 1,450 fps for a 125. Major manufacturers decided to all go for 1,350 for some reason. For me, I don't want it unless I'm getting 600+ foot pounds. So Buffalo Bore, Underwood or Double Tap for me.
In my opinion based on facts and data I have acquired over years the 229 is the best overall duty gun ever made ,I carry 226 but people and cops even like a little smaller. If you have to have the best dependability it is the gun ,all 22 series really...
@@AzAirgunner. I have a 23 and thought about a conversion to at least check it out. But I can't get over the fact that the 40 is bigger and can hit similar energy levels with most factory loads. And if you go boutique with SIG with SIGnificantly more juice then the accuracy suffers and gel tests are rare. What are your reasons
40sw does NOT hit with the same energy...357sig routinely will average at least 100ft/lbs or more energy than 40sw! If you actually chronograph the different loads and actually shoot some "things" other than just paper you can definitely tell the difference @EvilynKing
357 sig. Is the GOAT of EDC !! I own a Beretta 80357 cougar 1911 in 357 sig. It's a fricken cannon! This model was discontinued around 2009 and I purchased it from academy sports for 395.00 dollars. It was the last one in that store.
@@paulscountry456 it weighs a little over three pounds.not as accurate as my 45 1911 cause it actually has more recoil than a 45. I do like the fact of being able to use Beretta 40 cal mags. It's 11 plus one capacity mags. I actually was looking to buy a 9 mm that day but the salesman showed me the 357 and 100.00 dollars off because of it being discontinued. At the time I wasn't sure how much it cost to feed it. Luckily back when GunBroker still had great deals, I was able to buy it in bulk for about 45 cents per round. I shoot it sparingly whenever I can find ammo at a reasonable price so I don't dig into my emergency stash.
@Team_BW I have shot every boutique 357 sig ,thousand upon thousands at everything on our ranch here and have many videos on it,If you want penetration through barriers and just the highest performance the 65 gr Underwood is the ticket, but for a normal Joe any 125 gr hp will perform at 1300 plus they always expand,if you go real hot like 1475 plus you get lots of blast and deafening report and more flash .
@@jasonkeating9958 Thank you!! It's 10% homemade organic ballistics gel or real gel, fbi spec. A lot of other channel use the synthetic clear ballistics, so it usually doesn't show as much detail and cavitation.
@@jasonkeating9958 🤣😂 U are right my friend lol not at all. It's a possibility. I don't have the G40 or dillon barrel anymore, was just borrowing it from a viewer. But definitely thinking of grabbing that same setup myself for some testing. So yes most likely just a lil further into the season. I appreciate u taking the time to check this one out!!
