Mair’s Massey Ferguson’s My Massey Ferguson tractors and Massey Ferguson classic machinery from the 1970's and some modern machinery used on my small farm.
Good morning, Great collection! I am looking for the references for the transmission belt of the 30-13 2WD. If possible an equivalent of the original reference 3920712M. You can help me? Best regards Alain DB (from Belgium!)
Hi Charles , it’s the only one I have came across, I am fairly sure the 800 series was the last built by Massey Ferguson before Droninberg started building them
@@mikeymcmikeface5599 The conditions are perfect for ploughing. Not sure if you've ever competed in a ploughing match, buy the faster you go the less chance you have of turning a perfect furrow. This video is not about speed and how fast you can complete the plot, it's about getting the best finish. At no point in this video was the tractor under pressure, power or performance. Check out more videos of ploughing matches and you will never see a tractor above tick over revs.
Got mine fixed up cosmetically. Paint and a new cover. Gear oil belts and new blades plus lots of grease. Worked very well cut 20 acres sold it and upgraded to a larger mower with hydraulics. Did I do the right thing dont know until later in the year when I use it. It was a great mower👍👍
The 160 is the model manufactured after the 41, the easiest way to tell them apart is by the main frame. It’s square on the 160 and diamond shaped on the 41.
@@goodbeer100 ah yes, you are indeed correct - I should have looked a bit closer - my bad ! Nice bit of ploughing and obviously a MK II MF 595, with those rear extensions on the mudguard. I really liked the look of the MF 595 when it first came to market, but just like the tractor it replaced, the MF 1080, it suffered from the usual engine head gasket failures, getting it a bad reputation. Real shame, as when they're not eating head gaskets for breakfast, they apparently have real stump pulling power.
Yes it is and will be better for it. The engine needs to be working hard and hot for the Paraffin - petrol and heating oil mixture to burn properly. If not hot the fuel will wash the bores and eventually cause engine wear.
Yes it would, I do have a bigger disc now, you can see it on my channel being pulled by 1805 there is a vid of the 1130 pulling a 7 furrow plough with ease
Good day, I'm from Greece and I have the same tractor that has a problem with the cylinder head, there are no spare parts in my country. Is there anything in England? . Can you help me?
How is the mower going. Found one for sale in Australia. Its operational. What are your suggestion or experience with servicing them. My tiughts are grease or oil. New blades and a cover. Mine is non existing, did you find a curtain or got one made up. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Joachim
Hi the mower is fine, I don’t use it in a very heavy crop, my one has the extra wear plates under the cutting bar which I re plated. The curtain was measured up and made at a local sail maker. The small bolts that sand which the gear trough together can wear, but are easily found on line
Great to hear. I am picking mine up Thursday. I'll be using ot to cut about 20 acres of oaten hay. Is it oil or grease in the cutter bar. Have you got a manual as not alot comes up when you google mf51 do you know if they were sold under other brand names around the world. Thanks for the quick reply.
I found one in the grass last year. Replaced all the bearings now runs ok. The bar takes gear oil. 80/90 gl5. So does the bevel gear box. Make sure the bearings are ok. Pretty standard sizes. I have parts manual and operator manual. Both online pdf. And height temp high speed grease for mower heads.
