HOA fees are very affordable. They run anywhere from $60- $600 a month. The older buildings have the more affordable dues. I would say that the average was around $250. Most of those dues cover the outside maintenance, building electricity and landscape along with pool maintenance if there is one. Thanks for watching. If you have interest let me know I can connect you to our realtor there. He is awesome!
Have you checked out Bucerias? I'll be moving there this December. I chose to purchase there as it is quieter and more laid back than PV. Also, it's walking distance to everything. No need to own a car. That's a plus for me!
@palmspringsrealtors If my goal was purely investment as, in an Airbnb, I would prob choose the Romantic Zone. Conchas China's, Mismaloya or other points south are not as covenant for vacationers. However, If my goal was for a retirement home, especially one in a quieter, more traditional Mexican non-party environment (and still on the beach) Bucerias has PV beat. Also the beach in Bucerias comprises about 5 miles of pure sand, unlike PV's mostly rocky shoreline. Hope this encourages you to visit Bucerias
Yes, it's a great development and you are going to love living there! It's close to shopping great restaurants and some amazing golf courses. Sound like you may already have an realtor, but if not I would love to help! It will be hot, hot, hot next month so do prepare. Thanks for watching!
thanks so much for all the work you put here into these videos...they help people like me - who are considering moving to PS - so much! and yes: In case i make it to PS i know there is only one real estate agent i will contact, that I already know for sure
Cody Homes are basically adobe architecture which dates back to nearly 8300BC in the Middle East, the rectangular style does look modern and sleek even though the style gets its roots from the past when indigenous Pueblo people created these durable homes out of sand, straw, and clay in that same rectangular shape which protected them from extreme temperature swings. Anyway, it fits well there in the desert. Before the nation was colonized by Europe and Britain Adobe homes were found throughout the southwestern United States. I like the Cody Homes modern version, it has a lot of natural light. Thanks for the tour.
Of course.. we are looking at maybe to be our final destination home sometime next year. The low desert is on our list. Use to work in the area for twelve years so, kind of now the area somewhat… we are not that a way to the low desert just down the road in near Redlands Ca.
Outstanding!! Thank you so much for your complete detailed video! We are pondering moving to the low desert area so, these videos really help us understand the best neighborhoods for your money and safety for your family
Hi @tunzinater1, so happy you are here to enjoy our beautiful weather right now. Enjoy your time while here and I would love to connect with you to help you find your dream home. Have a super time!
Thank you! We arrived Palm Springs recently and are looking at neighborhoods . I learn such great info from your videos. We have friends in S Palm Desert and love that area. When we are seriously ready we will get in touch with you for sure. 😀
Looking for an active 55 plus community for in-laws. Looking for recommendations on best communities that take care of the residents and are not looking to rip off seniors. They don’t play golf but want a pool and walking trails. Any recommendations? Any place that allows golf carts be cars? Gated with security would be ideal.
La Quinta seems much more calm, peaceful and laid back than Palm Desert (where shops are more along the - sometimes busy - main road) and of course more than Palm Springs, which is rather "vibrant" and specially on the weekends can be quite busy. But please: I have never been to Palm desert, my opinion is only based on the documentaries, city tours and explore-videos in found in youtube...so if i am wrong, I am more than happy to hear from locals, if my impression is correct!
Hi ragga man! You are absolutely correct. La Quinta is a bit more calm and Palm Springs is more touristy and during season is buzzing. Both have great attributes and neither are too far away from each other. 😂
awesome, thanks so much for giving me a feedback on my comment! Your videos are super helpful for people that try to get a bit of an overview of the area@@kimbloch6326
The more i watch Kims Videos, the harder it gets to decide, because it all sounds too tempting! 🙂 I guess I am a Palm Springs guy (as a gay guy, the decision is more or less clear *haha*)...but what i saw about La Quinta and also Palm Desert looks so amazing.
Hello Kim. I hope all is going well. Thank you very much for this great video about La Quinta!! The chamber of commerce should be paying you for advertising them so well!! I put a few google maps pins for the restaurants! We are always down for a great mexician restaurant! My wife just got out of the hospital for a hip replacement. So, it is going to be a couple of months before we return to the valley. But...she is now a hipster, so we will look to go to the hip restaurant hehehe
I guess, just messed up my plans, buying a home in Spain! With your classy style to present this special neighborhood, you made me fall in love with La Quinta. Love how clean, calm and pretty everything looks.
Can you please touch on the amount of wind this area gets? I can afford this area but my friends in Palm Desert say it’s really windy. If you have done a previous video in relation to wind, I would very much like to look at those areas. Thank you, I really like your videos.
Hi @tunzinater1, it can get windy here in the desert certain times of the year. Some area's do get more wind than others. The wind typically happens in the months of April-June. The areas that have the most wind are the "north end" or closest to the interstate. Let me know when you are ready to purchase here in our beautiful desert. I would love to help you! And thank you for watching my video's...
Hi Perrie, thank you for watching! The only time you don't need to pay TOT is for rentals over 30 days. It then is not considered a short term rental. Feel free to reach out anytime if you have any other questions.
One of your previous videos talked about short-term rentals and not having to pay the T.O.T. OR get a license if the rental was 30 or 31 days? Can you elaborate on that please?
So disappointed that the desert is known for their golf ⛳️ courses and you did not even mention one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Valley. Visitors to the desert will find a hidden gem when they visit MISSION LAKES COUNTRY CLUB! This semi-private club provides beautiful luscious green par 71 course with a public lounge & restaurant available to enjoy a post game meal and/or beverage. Stop by next time you are visiting the desert. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!
Hi Mari, thank you for mentioning Mission Lakes. With all of our beautiful courses in the Greater Palm Springs Area it's hard to mention every one, so I appreciate you adding this to the list. Thanks again Mari!
@@kimbloch6326 - Kim, thank your reply. I do agree with you that we do have many other beautiful courses in the Greater Palm Springs area. But you were specifically commenting on activities available in Desert Hot Springs. Just thought this was an inadvertent oversight which was disappointing not to see highlighted.
