Movies are based on incidents but a lot of times not exactly what happened. John Dillinger was shot in an alley in back of head by FBI agents. He was coming out of the Biograph movie theater in Chicago when he was shot in the alley
The BBC did a documentary abt John Dillinger. Dillinger had gray eyes, he was also vy athletic. The man shot outside the Biograph Theater in Chicago, who was supposedly JD, is a little different. The man the FBI shot had brown eyes, he had Rheumatic Fever as a child. So this man could not hv done the things Dillinger was capable of. For one thing, he could never hv escaped FM Little Bohemia shootout with the FBI. Another point. The deal Anna Sage made with the FBI had a vy important condition. The FBI had 2 kill Dillinger! Not arrest him. Also, the finger prints taken of the supposed corpse of Dillinger did not match Dillinger's prints. It wasn't until abt a week later tt the FBI was able 2 match the finger prints. This is just something 2 think abt.😊

Glaring mistake, John Dillinger was NOT shot in a lobby but in an alleyway as he was leaving a cinema, this is well documented, it's a shame the scriptwriters can't do their research.

I only watched the first minute or so. Dillinger wasn't going into the theatre, he had seen the movie and was coming out with the woman in red, which was actually orange, but looked red under the theatre lights. He wasn't shot in the theatre like the film showed, he was in the ally next to the theatre, and was unarmed when he was shot in the back.
Well, this is a twist on one end you have Al Capone on the other John Dillinger and in between Arthur Treacher the English butler and who's chasing them? Former FBI agents Abbott and Costello! Despite all this very enjoyable!

Plus the feds already know is him. did not even know John Dillinger had a brother he is sitting here next to his father claiming the body of the outlaw John Dillinger half brother Herbert Dillinger and John Dillinger is John Herbert Dillinger. heck type in Herbert Dillinger and get nothing but him sitting next to his father, John Wilson Dillinger but yes to a point the half brother does look like John Dillinger.
F. Murray Abraham looks to me to darn skinny to play Al Capone I will see how this movie turns out. A little strange Dillinger goes down with that lady in red and Martin Sheen plays him but is not Martin Sheen that got shot with that woman in Red yes will see how this movie turns out.
The shooting took place in an alley outside the Biograph. And the photos of Dillinger's body taken in the morgue do not show any sign of a final head shot. But at least the producers got Dillinger's name spelled right.
Remember, this is Hollywood. The truth doesn't matter as much as dramatization. I saw a film where the Americans retrieved the Enigma machine from a German U-Boat. In reality, it was the British, but that wouldn't sell as well to patriotic Americans.
So Dillinger was getting out the game, when he was forced to do that job for Capone. That's why they say, "find a way to make it out the game", because there will be something trying to pull you back in. So Dillinger found a way to make it out the game. Good for him. And lived the longest.
