i was healing on hpala on this with a preist. We got to 17% and we got oom basically. Couldnt keep ppl up. Not sure what happened and why we couldnt get further. Ppl took too much damage.
Were people killing the adds quickly enough? They do a lot of dmg and reduce healing taken + the tickling aura damage of the last phase. I’d have to see logs to know exactly tho!

would suggest not to use flash heal and just spam more smite and holy fire on cd, that should give you better mana management. and less PWS on raid, just in the tanks and mage when he is transformed, and cast more prayer of healin on the raid aoe, u only used 4 in the entire fight lol. :D gz on the kill though
Thanks man and yea my mana efficiency as disc isn’t the best, there’s even a couple times I waste more mana trying to DoT the boss but most of them miss 😂
You have some weird cooldown usage.. Why blow Hymn so early when the cooldown is too long for a second use. Better to use an early Barrier (or none at all, theres no danger that early in the fight). Interesting talent build though, it never occurred to me that you can use Surge of Light as disc - definitely gonna experiment with that.
TBH i'm so used to playing Holy after I used hymn I forgot it had an 8 min CD lol but yea id agree would have been better to use on last empowered shadows before phase 2
What addons do you use for the raid frames? I like your setup, i was wondering if there was a profile for yours that i can use. Also whats your ui scale?
In Cata also, Holy Paladin does not need to be in melee. It is effectively a fully functional ranged healer in terms of its spells. Like literally. In Cata, you don’t need to be a melee healer or use stuff like CS or Judgement at all. It’s a caster.
You guys should never use bloodlust during the haste buff the boss gives you, they do not stack and it’s a waste of bloodlust. Save bloodlust for after the haste buff wears off, boss should be sub 20%
Notice the 2 minute buff you get from Calen, your mana becomes endless so big mana intensive AOE healing spells should be used in that window when people take lots of AOE dmg from breath and wrack debuff.
@@xilongcao8854 You won't be going oom, so you can spam whatever you like during that buff; rejuv/regrowth (i pick one point of living seed), however resto druids might not be the best choice here. Considering set up you only want 2 healers here and the best healing combo here is pala and prie healer.
Whew! So sketchy! But dead is dead 👍 Next time you may just want to leave Slate Dragon down and just kill Halfus, as it doesn't really provide a benefit that late into the fight, but does take up a ton of DPS and healing.
This fight was the first time I saw a high level hunter use disengage, readiness, disengage to avoid the tornado walls…blew my mind. From that moment on I realized I could use disengage for so many more reasons than just to get away from an enemy

I think almost every group 3heals unless there dps is insane if you watched the whole vid you see how oom healers are throught the fight there is ALOT OF avoidable damage but most dps dont care to do anything except pump... I dont blame them but ya!
That poor resto druid getting pumped lol. Srsly though, why do ppl sleep on holy P? This is a good illustration where Holy can outperform all other heal class. Do you think you can do something similar in a Nef fight? I think if you can do that more ppl will be convinced that Holy packs a punch.
The reason everyone is saying that is because they bring basically no utility. Disc has pain supp, barrier etc. while holy only has guardian angel. The output of hpriest is one of the best, but they're very very mana hungry and as I said, basically no utility. It's still a good class though!
Holy does offers a unique toolkit as well: Guardian spirit, Divine hymn on 3 min CD (highest HPS raid CD), 60% movement increase to allies for 4 seconds via body and soul, Lightwell (basically Healthstone HoT), and versatility to become a more effective tank or raid healer depending on raid comp + some stuff disc gets too like life grip and hymn of hope
