I had to look it up - the black clay trinket box is called Barro Negro - (pronounced nay-grow). it is only produced in Oaxaco, Mexico (pronounced waa haca). I was there summer of 1972, but did not buy any, got something else. You are not going to find this pottery a dime a dozen.
