❤❤❤Me and my son were there on saturday 21.9. We drove more than 600 km from Belgium to Brighton. Just to see and hear David, daughter and his band. It sounded fantastic. Brighton is also a very nice town near the see. The weather was also very sunny. We will see them again in London at The Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 9.10. Can't wait. Greetings Dirk Belgium
I am very glad that I have seen him live playing Marooned as he was younger. I have a musical trained ear, and when you look at his playing now you can clearly tell that he’s not playing in that quality as he was able to play 9 or 18 years ago. At his last tour it was obvious that he has lost, I would call it the flow in his soloing. You her much more chords and single note bending in his soloing as before. The bending has lost his precision, and he often ends quite sharp and not on the tone he has to get to. I am a huge fan, and I love his new album, but he shouldn’t go on tour anymore. When a cover band played this, I would say the guitarist should practice some more before playing it live.
Marroned 2024 saudades ❤ no Brasil show Marroned em Belo Horizonte vão de arrepiar com David Gilmour. Marroned eu me lembro no Album PINK FLOYD The Division Bell 1994 ou DVD PINK FLOYD Pulse no extras do DVD. Espero show Brigston torne em DVD para Brasil. Abraços.
I watched several vidéos of those rehearsal shows and, to be honest, I'm desappointed. I know my comment won't please everyone but we must face the truth : it's time for David Gilmour to retire. His voice is weak, he sings slowly et even his guitar playing is not as good as in 2016. Believe me : I have no pleasure to write this. I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd and DG solo work : I saw him in 2002, 2006 and 2016. Bus, as a musician, I can't ignore these defects.
Exactly. I wrote the same comment here and there and people didn't like me for that. 🙂 But either they are deaf or don't want to see this. As far as his guitar skills are concerned - there were many mistakes during 2006 and 2015-2016 tours, so it's nothing new. But I'm going to Rome with hopes 🙂
I’d rather hear a tired Gilmour than no Gilmour at all, I obviously knew it was gonna be like this but Im fine with it. Not a fan of the drummer tho, a bit boring.
I'm 25 years old and this is my first proper upportunity to see a hero of my dad and mine live. He's seen Pink Floyd a couple times, including '94, and now we can finally go together, we're flying in from Holland. What I'm trying to say is, I think there are lots of people who couldn't care less that he doesn't sound like 8 years ago, and are just in general very excited and happy to have the opportunity to see him live regardless. :)
Some people forget that this is a rehearsal gig. Some people forget that he's 78. Some people don't understand the concept of saving your voice and, sometimes, singing at lower registers saves it, especially at this age. At least he isn't lip synching like other artists.
While I will not be watching the video in its entirety as I want to experience the visuals and just the sheer power of it raw next week in rome, I will be returning to watch this after, and oh man you cant belive how much just the sheer existence of this is hyping me up. Breathe has always been THAT song for me, i dont know what it is about it, but it just is. Even if he doesnt play it at my exact show, at least ill get to experience it here afterwards ❤❤
@@francescopaoletti8953 So, rather then saying what is wrong with what I said, you just throw insults at me. Why? I wasn't impolite towards anybody in my comment. It's an objective fact that the song is played significantly faster than the studio version. We could have a discuassion about whether or not it's a good thing. But why would you make a comment like that?
Just got back from this. Missed out on the RAH tickets, but luckily got hold of one for today. One of my fav Floyd songs and think this is one of the best versions. Prefer the musical link before the guitar solo on this version!
