On my channel alone, there are plenty of videos of him dealing with students and challengers who are 20-50 years younger, and 30-70kg heavier than him. Many of them physically much stronger than a man in his late 70s.
@@ShifuBluestein ’dealing with students’, particularly when they are mostly passive & there to learn doesn’t negate my comments. I remember KK’s WT which has always been about strength and size right back to the days of Ulli Portsteffen & a number of excellent WT fighters like Christian Feldmeier in the 80’s, and you can certainly see it in this video.
Jetzt musst ihr nur noch eine Methode finden das Gezeigte im kontrolliertem Sparring zu trainieren. Daran wird es dann bei euch wohl wieder scheitern. Grundsätzlich ist das Gezeigte durchaus sinnvoll und wirksam.

Na, dann soll er es doch mal zeigen, er zeigt doch wieder nur ein Set up völlig realittätsfern, wo sieht man denn das Ganze mal unter Stress, Druck und Unkooperation, was heißt, der Andere will ihn auch wirklich treffen! Noch nie bei ihm gesehen, braucht er auch selbst nicht zu demonstrieren ist ja zu alt dafür, aber soll doch einer seiner Schüler mal den Kram im Sparring zeigen, denn dieser ganze Innere Kraft Kram aus allen inneren Stilen funktioniert, NULL im Sparring! funktioniert NULL wenn man sich nicht entspannen kann und unter Adrenalin ist und selbst auch mal eine abbekommt ... aber los los zeigt es mal in der Anwendung!
Kernspecht's ideas of self defence are up there with George Dillman's i.e. pure BS! But as business men both Kernspecht and Dillman are excellent, they are able to sell pure BS to no shortage of gullible people.
I have been wanting to ask a question to a Xinyi practitioner/teacher or Bajiquan teacher for a while. Im going to China next year to study Kung fu in an academy and im finding it hard to decide which system would be better for me between Xinyiquan or Bajiquan? I guess its more about the teacher.
I find this interesting because a lot of the combat methodology in Xinyi is found in my current system of Goju-ryu Karate. All I do is bring the wider guard closer together. The hooking horse fist and punch is actually part of western dirty boxing.

Mit realistischem Kämpfen hat das selbstverständlich nichts zu tun. Es geht hier eigentlich um die Vermittlung von Fähigkeiten. Das Problem dabei ist, dass seine Jünger glauben, was sie da sehen, könnte 1:1 in der Realität umgesetzt werden. Jeder halbwegs gut ausgebildeter Boxer würde diesen Großmeister zeigen wo der Hammer hängt.

It’s funny that some people are so against change and modification when it comes to traditional Chinese Martial Arts since, it you examine the history of such arts, almost all of them came about by a practitioner combining what they already know with another art, or adding movements, techniques, forms, and/or principles from another art and/or their own creation to the current style that they practice. also, they usually do this in order to adapt their art to new situations or to make up for the weaknesses and improve the art.
