The whole crux of a lot of 70s films was to get sexy young women to fall for goofy old men. It was also a time when things were done for shock value, especially during a time when authority was seen as very reserved. Cartoons were considered to be for children, so having sex, drugs and violence in a cartoon was a new rebellious type of thing that mainly appealed to teen age boys and men who still lived in mom's basements while filling the holes in their souls with vast comic book collections.
If you watch any of Bakshi's rotoscoped films, in my opinion the best of them, if not his best movie that I know of in general, is American Pop. Trust me, it's a brilliant film not only in the category of animation, but an amazing film in general.
Saw it several times as a child on pay channel….you have to have a continuous macro to micro perspective…considering what was within the walls as well as a loose eye outside the 4th wall….IE the logistics of even tackling such an outlandish project in that era….as far the bad guys…well if you require a fair amount of stock footage as source….you really only had one option to meet the requirements….
The movie is about the dangers of fascism. I'm sorry you missed the allegory. Sometimes people are put off by certain types of visuals and that's perfectly valid. Fascism is always a threat. It never dies. All it requires is for people to forget and let their guards against it down. I'm glad you enjoyed the voice acting. It was a small role for Mark Hamill, but he speaks highly of it.

I’ve always loved Studio Ghibli but I never knew this movie existed!! Seems like I’ll have to give it a watch. I definitely understand Studio Ghibli’s slower pacing though. Personally, I like putting on a lot of their movies in the background for vibes more than straight watching them lol
Wow, first Super Mario’s movie dethrones Frozen 2, now Happy Madison, on the brink of redemption, had better writing and musical numbers than Wish. I knew I have trust in Sandler again after defending Chris Rock with his style of humour, we need REAL entertainment like this instead of modern Disney!

I've loved Vampires since I love like 5 my first vampires thing I watched was Buffy The Vampire Slayer and I kinda found myself shipping Tony and Rudolph a bit but I'd still love it if they stayed just friends too
I watched The Little Vampire live action when I was little and loved it I'm 24 and I still like it and I really love The Little Vampire Animated it's very good
