Wow, this is really good. (It took me a while to realize keyboard player had another one below) This has a great feel. Good solos, good interaction on the trading. Dynamite rhythm section. You guys have been playing a while and are really good.
Earl I think you have the "touch" to get around you the finest and talented musicians and the perfect sound combinations!! all the best for you, I am a Jazz bassist but I am not that good, I hope someday I can get there!!!😁😁😁😁😁
Uau!!! pure 1930's Jazz played in Birds NY, by the way this Jazz club is one of the oldest in US, and get its name from the Great Charlie Parker which nick was "Bird". You did it again!! Earl thanks for the great music!!!
Talent it is not something you buy, but you born with it! when I see theses brothers I see in them the long heritage of the black people in the south of US, their music played a key role in African American religious life. Hymns and spirituals, many written by black composers, accompanied preaching in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and other congregations through the south of US. But it wasn't until about the 1840s that choral singing and musical instruments made their way into church services, and later give birth to rock & roll That's right my brothers!! the first rock & roll rithms born in black hands here some of them Sister Rosetta Sharp (she is the mother of rock & roll), Chuck Berry, Tielman Brothers, Frankie Lymon, Ray Charles, Lead Belly, Little Richard, Louis Jordan and his Tympany Five, among many others, these people were talented, there are a very curious story about the RCA Records, in the early 50's they were looking for a good rock & roll singer that could play like a black man, but this person should be a white good looking guy which could play and dance like a black guy, then they found a man from Memphis, Tennessee with a very little music background called Elvis Aaron Presley that later become known as the "king" of rock, the rest is history, please I am not racist or any of a kind, but to remind that most of those highly talented singers were forgotten by the music history.
