Hey guys, is there anyway I can contact you about the Jimny. I’m currently in the process of buying my own for a car to drive from shearing shed to shearing shed and use for a bit of camping by the river. Thank you 🙏
Hey are you still using your Torqit? So I came back from work after a few weeks of my Jimny being parked up and I had every warning light come up on my dash once I started it. Turned out the throttle controller was tripping the system... I was enjoying it until that point.
The extra space in the back certainly would be handy, but unless those bags are full of helium balloons, it might be a good idea to make sure that you are still under your gvm.
Nice video , but the kit does not include the headers . I think the stock headers include the catalytic converter . So does torqit also make a catback full exhaust for the jimny XL ?
Yeah correct, it doesn't include new headers. I don't think they do them so you would have to source them from somewhere else :) The full exhaust kit goes from the start of the headers to the back
I would love to have 50 more hp’s in the 3-door. Part from that I cannot think of anything else to add to it. It’s small size force me to be minimalistic which I am very fond of.
Gives you about 20-30 extra k's for each full tank which I'd say is pretty decent! We got the snorkel too so that helps a bit extra on top of that. It also responds better, but I'd recommend a PedalTorq throttle controller to combine with it, makes the overall driving experience so much better
Yes they do the wiring kit too! I have the 3-door wiring kit here now so aiming to install it soon. The 5-door is still under development but not for much longer.
Hi all, after some info. I’m looking at buying the 5 door XL ,so chatting to the dealer in the yard I was looking at the chiffon ivory,he happened to mention this was “about $700” more with the black roof compared to the Jungle Green ,no black roof, does this sound correct or was he already jacking up the price. I can see nowhere were it mentioned this in any reviews. Cheers guys.
Hey! Yeah so prices for the two-tone option is generally more expensive. Might differ from country to country but in Queensland it’s generally about $1-1.5k more expensive for the chiffon ivory and some of the other colours.
@@ExploreJimny thanks for the reply mate, yeah I’m down in tassie the dealer was very vague,as they usually are, just so I go in well armed with info and get a good deal, cheers
Hi , just a question, does fitting the exhaust void the warranty. Additionally Im looking at buying the 5 door (Auto) ,took one for a test drive yesterday, the Engine noise ? I think it was ,was quite noticeable on an acceleration sounded throaty , reminded me of the days of a 2 stroke bike ,is that normal. And not prying as such but what would be a ball park figure price drive out the door for the 5 Door Auto, cheers all.
Hey! It will void the warranty around the items it affects - if that makes sense. However, the exhaust comes with its own warranty so you'll be fine in that area. Only certain parts of the Jimny are under warranty to a certain degree - that means that if something bad happens per se you're more likely to be covered by insurance unless it's directly manufacturing-related. Yes, the Jimny's are generally more noisy but I think it's definitely less noisy than the 3-door. It's not really a car I recommend for commuters, but I don't really spend a lot of time on the highway anyway so for me it's the perfect daily city-driving car along with the weekend trips 😄
The new 5 door has what is considered a goldilocks wheel base, is just a touch longer wheel base then the landrover range rover classic, discovery 1 and 2, it's also touch longer then a jeep xj, all are renowned off readers.
Hey! No I don’t actually have any ceramic or similar paint protection on the Jimny 😊 I just make sure to clean it regularly and use wax shine etc to keep it fresh.
Awesome video Marlin it’s definitely one of the best versions I’ve seen so far. I’m glad you both took your cars it’s definitely great to see Drage Jimny out there wheeling it’s definitely turned out so nice. I’m glad that Darren looks like he made the weekend haven’t seen anything about him this year. I’m always looking forward to seeing you both in the next video 😊
Sorry, Needed Sea Sick pills. Some good explanations but the Camera was way to close and very difficult to get an overall view of the layout and connections.
Hi, has dre had rust proofing done to his chassis? Only asking because I'm planning on getting it done and not sure if I should install the towbar first or wait until after rustproofing
Hey! Yes we’ve already had it done - your towbar wouldn’t be rustproofed anyways as that’s only done for the chassis. The towbar is powder coated (or similar) as is so it shouldn’t rust ☺️
Hi,great video, I just watched the one on the accessories you fitted to you 3 door, I’m interested re the tow bar etc you fitted to the 3 door, have you towed anything with it yet and if so what trailer ,camper was it. How how is the 3 door re towing, I’m very close to buying a 5 door so in very interested re this towed and how the 5 door tows. Cheers
Wow a very impressive Tow Bar Marlin very nice. I like the idea it comes with your Bar and Ball and the Snatch Block is well. I’m very impressed with what you both have done to the XL all ready it’s turning out very nice. I’m always looking forward to seeing you both in the next video. What do you use to get the tires and mudguards so black?
Awesome video Marlin really enjoyed it.. it’s great to see a lady out there working on cars and not afraid of getting her hands dirty. Looks like you are the one with all of the brains to working on cars which is awesome to see. It definitely sounds amazing well done on the exhaust upgrade. Definitely looking forward to seeing you both in the next video of the Xl build
