This channel is about my adventures in trying different mechanical and construction methods. Professionally trained in Computer Science, I apply, those technics to more physical projects like repair and building.
Clever repurpose project. May I suggest not hand holding the camera, especially while you're dismantling the thing. I'm getting dizzy with all the jerky motion. Set up with a cheap tripod or some such and give us a break on the motion sickness. Thanks.
I like people who builds from other things, very smart, and you make it how you want it, or ... use what ever parts you have in your house and make some thing useful from those parts without going to the store, very creative people, good job, keep up the good work.
how much did this whole kit cost? i just started investing in packout, but dont have any power tools from milwaukee yet, just trying to find the best bang for buck. thanks for the review
I have it at my cabin and use it to run around the property. Haven't used it more than 30 minutes a ride yet and used up probably 10% on that ride. What has surprised me the most is it's convenience. Just hop aboard, hit a button and off you go!
I have a Taiga Nomad. It takes about 10% to heat up the battery. So when I start my ride it's at 90%. I ride for 45 to 50 km on range mode and when I get back it's at 30%. The acceleration on sport and wild mode is very impressive.
@@reclusedman8538Does it have to heat the battery even when being charged until you start your ride or just when you start riding it without it just been charged?
@@drdryyls I don't know yet. When it's fully charged, it shuts off. That happens durind the night and in the morning it's cold. Today it was 7 celsius and it did not need to warm up, it was ready to go at 100% battery. The accelaration on sport and wild mode is insane!
There is a reason no one wants or has one of these.. they almost went bankrupt and this thing was a disaster.. the people that tested them that weren’t paid to lie said they were the worst product they have ever seen. They also are the easiest thing to steal in the entire world. That is a magnet tether. Anything magnetic works to initiate the boot and then you drive away lol.. it was proven ina. Video with a fridge magnet. Sell that thing right away or give it back… not sure what you paid but if it’s more then $100 you got scammed.
Those instruction menus are good, especially if your phone is out of battery you don't have internet service or you just don't want to get your phone damaged
@@WyteOutAK lithium ion batteries don't explode. They can go into a thermal runaway that is hard to extinguish. This will only happen when the cells are damaged like a penetration. The good news is that thermal runaways are not that dangerous as far as peril to human life...kind of like being afraid of sparklers on the 4th of July. So as long as you don't wrap the sled around a tree, no need to worry about any fire!
@@dfreadhoff that’s awesome. Cool to know about it more. Would be possible to mount a generator on the back to keep it charged for like long rides? Thats Something cool to experiment if it would work!?
Around $20k, fuel and maintenance are a fraction as much so there is a point at which they are cheaper than traditional ICE sleds. Also, the cost of not smelling like gas fumes to priceless :-)
Sept 2023. My advice if you want one, put in a refundable order. If they are a year out on orders better to have the order so you have a choice at some point...
I had the same experience, but I’m in idaho. Might try to start a Facebook group so we can all work together with problem solving when these things break…
@@illgiveitadiytry I would have to disagree with you. The batteries don’t have any safeguards for under voltage protection, it’s the red link communications in the tools that tells it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UXM25F7FG38.htmlsi=jEqlKxnPsPT-RsaT
Better than the landfill, but lots of shortcomings for too much effort, you could just put the welder on the grill surface and ditch the top and be done just as well.
You don't understand the reason for different switches on different stypes of tools? One factor is the potential hazard inherent in the use of the tools, second is the position of use and the way in which you hold the tool. If you use these types of tools much you would understand this. The offhandedness is off putting and is silly.
I went with Fuel because rather buy Al La carte than get brushed. I started out with an M12 fuel gen 3 impact driver and hammer drill kit. A 12 volt brushless will always beat an 18 volt brushed tool.
They seen a sucker I feel sorry for you bud the charger and the multi-tool is the only thing halfway decent hope you didn't pay no more 1000 bucks it would have been a good deal for $800 but I wouldn't bought it for $500 all is outdated I guess if you don't care about your money
Nicely done! Good use of a throw-away. I would like to see it finished, in both meanings of the word. Finish, as in, complete, and finish as in sand and paint. Once you go to using welding gas, you will never go back. Subscribed.
100%. You don’t want cargo planes (let alone passenger airliners also carrying cargo) stuck out on a hot tarmac, full of lithium-ion batteries. This isn’t even just US law, it’s a UN convention.
