Anybody trying to make the case that Luke Smith leaving destiny is a bad thing clearly doesn’t follow the game closely enough. That alone was the lone bright spot to all the news a few weeks back.
Im a retired veteran on both fronts. Havent played warframe in like.... 6 months? And havent played destiny in like two. Why you may ask? Well thats a great question my children. I will tell you in four simple sentences, two for each game with a fun extra sentence for both. Now are we all gathered around? No? Get a bit closer cmon... good.. good. Now i stopped playing destiny... cause its mid.. thats it. The only echo you'll find there is my screaming soul trying to find something to do in the game. Also they keep nerfing fighting lion. Now as for warframe. Oh boy. The power fantasy in that game is on roids... and thats my problem with it. Im too strong. I was a hydroid still am at heart and oh boy i was flying through every activity. It got so bad where me and my buddies sat in a steel path for two hours talking about if people should resort to cannibalism to keep the population down. And i went afk for 2 minutes inside of my puddle. I come back i had like 60 corpus MEN inside me. Hey where you going get back around the fire. Good. Now as i was saying warframe for me is too easy i never had a proper challenge yet. What broke it is when they reworked hydroid and made him... good.. i was already mentally and physically abusing the enemies now i can do it even better? Yippee. Also them building times. Building base equinox back in the day took a level of determination i never knew i had. Almost a week of building time for a character that i used like 43 times? I havent been more ashamed of my time management since i let my ex wife go to the store for 5 hours. Only to realise that she forgot her keys.... did she even go to the store? Anyways younglings my last sentence for both these... games if you can call them that is this. Visually pleasing and sounding mid and space monopoly with weapons. Both stories are whack but their lore is pretty good. Too bad i have to find some guy online to read it for me... ah if only. (I had alot of fun writing this)
Perfect time considering Warframe first big chapter (the war with the sentients) is over, and with the second one just begining (the man in the wall chapter) so 1999 is going to be massive WE ARE SO BACK!
Absolutely love this build, thought my gyr build was lacking since graviton got “accidentally” nerfed. Ended up getting the Elsie’s rifle, and oh damn it cooks. I got both repulser and destabilising rounds and oh damn it’s basically the graviton without having to use the exotic slot! And the constant void over shields it provides have kept me alive so much. Thanks loads for this build! Absolutely love it!
Lightfall sold more because no one knew to cancel their pre orders. My the time everyone realize we’d been rug pulled on destiny’s infinity war it was to late and bungie had their money. Remember it BROKE franchise records the word of mouth before got a lot of new people too.
D2 story is bland and boring, its just a placeholder of a gameplay with no boring matches. D2 content creators need a new game cause their ship has been sinking since first time they removed paid content and public didnt do sht back then and now it sank.Too be honest ill like d2 players joining us in warframe.............we need sheeps.😈

I played warframe for almost 800 hours but then fortuna drop and it was just boring for me atleast , after that everytime i try to log back in i am just confused af.
Ember heirloom is 100% able to get from trading plat. It was a big sticking point with the initial launch of the heirloom collection. You couldn’t earn Frost or Mag heirloom, only buy those skins. So they listened to us and made every heirloom moving forward buyable with plat (meaning earnable in game)
@@itsdavetvYT there’s too many examples of them being ethical and incredible to list. My favorite was the time that you could randomly roll your pet’s color pallet for plat and when they looked at the data, they saw one player had dumped hundreds of dollars into it. It scared them so much, they took the entire system out of the game. Nowadays you can just earn or buy the colors and select them whenever you want across all your pets
I assume you meant First Descendant, but yeah. Lots of people hopping on, I just realized after playing a few hours it's Warframe but with bikinis. They know their audience I'll give the devs that lol
Warframe will be my home again for the foreseeable future. I think I'm content with leaving Destiny in the high of Final Shape and not think about its now inevitable decline.
I assume lots of players will do the same. Like I said I still plan on playing and making content when new stuff comes out because there's bound to be something cool, but the rest of the time will be dedicated to variety and achievement hunting 👍
While Destiny has been getting all the attention with its scumminess while simultaneously digging its own grave, Warframe’s been in the background biding its time with its smaller but more passionate and loyal community. While I don’t play Warframe anymore, I’m very happy for it’s ongoing success.
I feel Warframe don’t really need raids. Other wise they would been put them back. With that being said destiny players need to understand Warframes “raids” are different we have more community events like the event before the new war. We had a team on the earth and a team in the railjack and you had to kinda work together. But raids are unnecessary with the current state of the game.
as someone thats played both D2 and Warframe why do people say these games are similar????? they arent even both looter shooters! Warframe and D2 are barely similar at all its crazy that theres ANY comparisons
@@itsdavetvYT I would say true, but there is a lot of nuance to it all. It's funny that grinding systems can have nuance. I would say: Destiny 2 keeps you grinding longer *for one particular thing*. Especially if that thing is something that isn't craftable or designed to be easy to grind, like event weapons. Where Warframe keeps you grinding longer *for everything*. Instead of one weapon, you go grinding to also get steel essence for arcane adapters, arcanes, then the weapon itself, etc. However, the drop chances aren't terrible, especially since they had added pity systems, not to mention that those previously grinded things can also be used on another weapon without regrinding for them. That being said, I would have to disagree with you on the front that everything else is similar, an example: Movement Philosophy. Destiny's Movement, as intended is basic with some tech thanks to Strand. Don't be fooled, Well and Shatter skates are both exploits. Warframe's movement, as intended, is not only pretty quick, but meant to be stacked together to form a smooth, adapting movement. I highly disagree that buildcrafting is similar because they have too many differences, in both feeling and doing. There are so many to point out here that I will do it in another post if you would like for me to list them, but just a few: freeform modding, arcanes, and more modding spaces.
All respect to Warframe and the community, but the reason I've always come back to Destiny is because it's a FPS. 3rd person shooters just don't do it for me
Can't wait to see how many new Destiny players finally bite the bullet and try Warframe and are struck with the realization that they've been in a toxic relationship with bungie all this time.
Warframe has as much of a huge opportunity with this as Pokemon or animal crossing. They don't fill the same niche, there's always some crossover between audiences, but most people not playing warframe that do play destiny, won't play warframe regardless of the state of destiny. We're nine gaming generations in, nobody's playing one game at a time any more, people need to stop with this game vs. game asinine mentality, it's not how the world works. Destiny and warframe are not competing. Failure of one game isn't opportunity of another, it's just failure of one. Both of these games have been a thing for a decade, warframe for even longer, only thing that can benefit warframe is the state of warframe, not the state of destiny.
I recently joined Warframe and I can already feel that they appreciate player QOL more than Destiny. Starting missions, managing inventory, handling mods = super easy and efficient. Destiny makes you fly and run all over the place just to pick up one item from the postmaster, or to decrypt an engram out of your slot because you're totally full (yes the mobile app helps, but ffs half the time it feels like an inventory management sim). I definitely feel cheated for paying ~$100 for the Final Shape especially now that we've been blindsided with the news that Bungie is basically dying. Layoffs, uncertainty, boredom, and just flat out ignoring player feedback is Destiny's current sentiment. There's so many QOL things that Bungie ignores (vault space, class item RNG, nerfing fun builds whilst never buffing weak builds, making dungeons brutally time-consuming for solo players, etc.). It's so frustrating how long it takes them to make the most miniscule changes. It took them like 8 FFing YEARS to finally allow the vault to be accessed from orbit--do these people even play their own game?
Tbf, you still have to fly all over the place to buy stuff from the Syndicates and cant use the app if youre playing the game. Im not saying the Orbiter isnt superior, but theres somethings Bungie has done better
Main issue why i dont see a lot of people sticking around long term is that Warframe strongly lacks big activity drops, Destiny is carried and i mean CARRIED by Raids and Dungeons. Warframe brings big updates but most of the time after you finish the story line you just end up playing the same modes, there is no big co-op activity as most ORPGs usually have, no raids, dungeons, actual incursions... nothing. Closest we got is Deep Archimedea and Netracells and both of them are just longer versions of normal modes with loadout restrictions.
I think the biggest reason I haven't played much warframe is mainly the 3rd person perspective and I have a lot on my plate. The game is definitely incredible and I would recommend trying it out and seeing if you like it. The movement is incredibly satisfying and fluid.
Warframe like any other game has its ups n downs but i can say updates of theirs usually getting followed by like 5 hot fixes which is way better than servers getting cut off for maintenance.But i had to take a break from warframe after 8 years of on and off but definitely tuning in to 1999.
I've played both warframe and destiny 2 but after reaching mastery rank 16 on warframe it got boring and I only come back to it do quest's and events.....
The best thing about DE for me is that they actually accept their mistakes and own up to them. When they fuck up, the leaders sit down on a livestream and admit they fucked up and apologize for what they did. Then they ask the community on how they want to proceed further. They don't bullshit with trying to spin their mistakes a certain way, they apologize, own up to it and ask the community on how they want to proceed. That, imo, is what makes them better than any other MMO studio I have played including Bungie. Oh and they don't have fucking 10 dollar event passes for a few paper weights and a colour scheme.
@@addmen96 you're right. And region chat is absolutely disgusting, but they do nothing about it. DE is great, and improving, but they still have glaring problems.
Warframe doesn't need or want Destiny 2 developers, I'm sorry if that sounds insensitive, but it's the truth. Given the state Destiny 2 is in, it is partially due to the developers not fighting against upper manament.
@itsdavetvYT Final Shape was the last good content to be made. It sold worse than Lightfall, and people still lost their jobs. We don't need that environment poisoning the environment of DE. They have built a community of fervently defensive people who don't want representation or the "message" in the game. We don't want devs who work only for fear of their jobs.
Ngl I played both game D2 and Warframe. What stop me from playing D2 is me reaching for my wallet to buy expansion just to realized I got scammed since the expansion didn't provide a dungeon key so I can play with my homies. Warframe however. It just give everything for free. I only start reaching to my wallet just to help the warframe devs. Aleast the money actually support the game than D2 spending my cash for some random Marathon game and 25 bloody cars
