These actresses didn't even try to pretend they were singing. So obvious that they weren't singing, definitely the wrong so called talent in this mishmash. And they always get actors who look nothing like the real person. Sam wasn't that tall or attractive, show p how they really looked. I give it three stars and that's being nice.

What a trashy movie this is. The actresses playing the sisters were poor and lip synching was pathetic. The McGuire Sisters were a top class act always giving their best but this film is an insult to them. Why are they blondes in this film I only ever saw them with brown hair.
Garbage. Real men aren't into love stories. This chit was a slow burn, with the first half filled with cat and mouse love scenes; not to mention the terrible music score, and the "LEAD😂" actor looking like he's barely 19. Couldn't watch it. As I've said, it's trash.🗑️
I know the McGuires played Cal-Neva casino, owned by Frank Sinatra, and Sam came there a lot. Frank was brought before the gaming commission because of it.

The depiction of Tony Accardo in this movie is way off, inaccurate and insulting. Accardo was a big man who might have been casual from time to time but he was never sloppy or raggedy as he is depicted here. And he was methodical and deliberate, not given to impulsive out of control outbursts or fits. He carried himself in a very stately yet understated manner.
During this time there was nobody more powerful than Chicago. When Ricca, Accardo, and Giancana were at the top of the administration nobody could touch them. There’s a reason the Kennedys and the government went to them for Castro and the presidency.

I just can't emphasize enough what a piece of crap. One second he's in a jail holding hands with his girl. Next it's 7 years later and he's getting off a plane from mexico.. don't tell you how we got out don't tell you how he went to Mexico don't tell you what happened in mexico. It would seem to me that you would have to bring the best friend. Considering that if the best friend doesn't do as he is told he not only sleeps with the fishes but so does everyone he holds near and dear. The wisdom of the ages is you live by the sword you certainly die by it. Not only true but ironic as well.
IDK for sure. But the film makes no implyment that her gambling was problem gambling or out of hand. Good gambling management is supposed to be gambling with in one's means. So whilst another person's view (the view of the casino employee) may be she had lost a lot. It may have been a lot to him but well withing Miss Mcquire's bank roll. A thousand dollar loss may seem a lot to some where as some others may drop ten or twenty thousand a night with out even a blink of an eye of concern. But I really do not know. IE I have no other infornation to go on about Miss Mcquire's gambling in the early sixties or at any time, other than the little shown in the film. The little shown really with the rest of the film really doesn't seem to show any general hardship financially through life style or gambling. Just my view point.
