I can't wait to read Just for the Summer! I've been saving it for a perfect day but I think I just need to pick it up because I know I'm going to love it ❤
I enjoy a good fake dating trope too! I'll have to look up that Loren Beeson book! Also it looks like Wild Love is on Kindle Unlimited right now. I'll definitely borrow it! I think my top fiction reads this year are Fourth Wing, Beartown by Fredrik Backman, and Funny Story by Emily Henry.
I absolutely loved Fourth Wing. I think you told me about Beartown last month, I’m waiting on my library to get it back in stock. Love that Wild Love is on KU and I believe the Loren Beeson book should be as well 💛
Ooh this is such a fun tag!! I love it. I don't often cry reading books. I think the most recent book that made me cry is Beartown by Fredrik Backman. SUCH a good book, but emotionally heavy topics. I am in the middle of my first Kennedy Ryan book right now! I'm enjoying it.
I'll have to check out King of Wrath! Sounds like it was a real winner for you! And oh gosh the cringe I felt from that one spicy part in Only for the Week. Some spicy stuff is just NOT IT for me, either! 😂
I really want to try a Kennedy Ryan book!! I keep hearing so many good things. I currently have a lot of books from the library, but I think when I make it through these I'll try one. I think if I remember when I checked, the only one of her books my library has is Before I Let Go. It sounds really good but I appreciate the trigger warnings.
Beach Read is my favorite Emily Henry! Although I'm halfway through Funny Story right now and it's shaping up to be a favorite as well. I hope you enjoy Beach Read! Haha I'm so glad I'm not the only one who gets nervous with the TBR. I just filmed my first one today and I was so nervous. 😂
I just think it’s funny that even though I wrote the prompts myself it still makes me nervous but I think that also has to do with me being a big mood reader!
@@Chenoaschapters I did a Wheel TBR instead of a jar and heres the list I got - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Price - The Woman in Me by Britney Spears - Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover - Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover - I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy Starting with Jennette McCurdy First!
Beach Read is my favorite Emily Henry book so far, hope you love it too! Some of my May TBR books are Powerless, The Women, The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels, The Familiar, and Next Year in Havana (lots of historical fiction haha) 😊
Lovee that you picked all the prompts up front! Super fun & great picks. Don't be intimated by Bride, it's super easy to understand & get into - I loved it!
I'm so sorry about your Easter egg hunt experience! I had another friend say the same thing happened with other parents grabbing all the eggs. So disappointing. I have never read Kennedy Ryan but I want to give her books a try!
It definitely was since this was the first Easter where he could actually participate. I definitely think you should since the female friendships in this book were AMAZING!!!
I'll never be a romance reader, but I did read my first contemporary fiction where romance was a heavy secondary plot earlier this year. I enjoyed it quite alot, but the romance annoyed me greatly. Not because it was a romance, but because it was so whiny, and there was a constant element of them getting irritated with each other and pushing one another away based on making wild assumptions and not communicating. Is that common in romance? Anywho, it was a great book, it's called The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods, if you're interested in looking it up.
It can be common but not always. It’s considered the miscommunication trope and a lot of people dislike it for that exact reason. It’s definitely a really irritating trope especially when it’s the tiniest issue that could have fixed everything if they just communicated.
I like these prompts! I have never read Kennedy Ryan but I should try one. Ahhh Bride intimidates me too!! But people keep talking about it! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it after you read it.
I’m absolutely loving Kennedy Ryan’s writing and her characters. She writes real characters with real problems and the female friendships are just beautiful.
I feel you on Bride! I want to read it soon but I’m scared 😂 Some books on my April TBR are Once Upon a Broken Heart, A River Enchanted, Half a Soul, The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi, and My Brilliant Friend!
I have Once Upon A Broken Heart on my shelves but I heard technically it’s best read Caraval but when I tackle them I think I’m just going to tackle the Once Upon A Broken Heart Series First. I definitely want to read A River Enchanted, I’ve heard good things about that book.
@@Chenoaschapters I haven’t read Caraval and I’m just diving into OUABH so hopefully that’s not a bad decision 😂 I’m listening to A River Enchanted now and so far so good!!
Welcome to BookTube!! Whenever I'm in a situation where I'm asked to share an interesting fact about myself, I instantly forget all facts about myself. 😂 That's so great you speak and read in German. I spent about a year and a half learning German with Duolingo. Romance and thrillers are two of my favorite genres too!
Welcome! I also struggle with being a mood reader, but also wanting a tbr for the channel. This month I had to dnf because I was so worried about a reading slump!
I can definitely relate I was buddy reading a book with a friend on Bookstagram and since I pushed myself to finish it, it left me in the biggest reading slump.
Welcome to Booktube! I’m excited to watch the content you produce. I agree, I’m thrilled to connect with other book lovers and believe everyone adds value by bringing their own perspective to this space 📖
those icebreaker questions where they ask "what is something interesting about yourself" are the most anxiety inducing!! The worst! Welcome to Booktube! so happy you're here! The community is so great!
@@Chenoaschapters Thank you! And yeah, there’s so many good ones!! Not sure what you’ve read but some of my favorite thrillers are The Silent Patient, A Flicker in the Dark, The Housemaid, No Exit, Ace of Spades, and Hidden Pictures 😊
Hey there, fellow newbie making rounds 😂! Enjoyed the video and look forward to hearing your thoughts on books! If you're looking for more horror to get into being fresh in the genre that isn't too heavy on scares but has a lot of heart and endearing characters, check out My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix!
Hi there! I'm looking forward to hearing about all bookish things you want to share with us over the upcoming year. From an oldie content creator to a newbie, welcome aboard. We're so glad to have you here!
Welcome to the BookTube community! Sounds like we have similar tastes in books - I enjoyed both "Tender is the Flesh" and the "Throne of Glass" series. Best of luck with your channel - I look forward to watching more of your videos. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
